We’re Looking for an SAP BODS Developer t o support the design, optimization, and maintenance of enterprise ETL processes and data integration solutions. This role requires a technically robust professional with hands-on experience in SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS), Oracle PL/SQL, and SQL-based data warehousing, along with a solid understanding of ETL best practices and performance tuning in complex data environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS) ETL jobs and Oracle PL/SQL packages.
- Optimize existing BODS ETL jobs and Oracle PL/SQL packages for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Implement data quality validations, reconciliation rules, and exception-handling logic within BODS.
- Collaborate with data architects and analysts to translate business requirements into technical ETL specifications.
- Integrate data from SAP and non-SAP source systems into the enterprise data warehouse and analytics platforms.
- Perform troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for failed jobs, data issues, or performance bottlenecks.
- Manage code migration and deployment activities across Dev, QA, and Prod environments.
- Establish job monitoring, alerts,



and operational dashboards for proactive issue detection.
- Prepare technical documentation, data mapping documents, test cases, and user guides.
- Provide end-user support and coordinate with cross-functional teams on project deliverables.
- Ensure ETL processes follow data security, compliance, and governance standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 3–6 years of experience working with SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS).
- Proven experience optimizing BODS ETL jobs and Oracle PL/SQL packages.
- Strong understanding of BODS transformations, dataflows, workflows, jobs, and functions.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or SAP HANA.
- Solid proficiency in PL/SQL and hands-on experience with Oracle packages and stored procedures.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts (SCDs, fact/dimension modeling, normalization).
- Experience with BODS Management Console, job monitoring, and repository management.
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux scripting for automation and job execution.
- Knowledge of ETL best practices, error-handling, data validation, and performance tuning.
- Ability to translate business requirements into clear technical specifications.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management abilities.
