About the Role

As the SAP Tower Head, you will be the executive leader accountable for the overall SAP practice within BD's India GCC. You will own SAP delivery operations, workforce strategy, capability development, stakeholder management, and financial performance. This role will drive the evolution of the SAP organization from a traditional support function into a strategic transformation partner supporting BD's global S/4HANA roadmap and enterprise digital initiatives.

This highly visible leadership role requires expertise in SAP technologies, large-scale transformation programs, people leadership, financial management, and executive stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

SAP Strategy & Transformation

- Define and execute the multi-year SAP capability roadmap for the GCC.
- Drive the transition from support services to strategic SAP transformation initiatives.
- Lead S/4HANA modernization programs and SAP innovation initiatives leveraging SAP BTP, Analytics, and cloud technologies.
- Establish and govern SAP architecture and best practices across the organization.

Practice Leadership
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing SAP organization of 30-50 professionals.
- Provide leadership across SAP domains including:
- FI/CO
- MM
- SD
- PP
- QM
- EWM
- Basis
- Commerce Cloud
- Concur
- Drive talent acquisition, succession planning, career development, and employee retention strategies.

Financial & Operational Management
- Own SAP Tower P&L;, including budgeting, forecasting, resource planning, and cost optimization.
- Ensure optimal utilization and productive delivery operations.
- Manage operational KPIs, service levels, and performance metrics.

Delivery Governance
- Oversee quality of SAP delivery across projects and support engagements.
- Drive SLA compliance,



customer satisfaction, release management, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor delivery health through metrics including:
- SLA adherence
- CSAT scores
- Defect leakage
- Sprint velocity
- Release success rates

Executive Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary SAP escalation point for BD's Global IT leadership.
- Partner closely with VP of ERP, CIO office, and executive stakeholders.
- Represent the GCC SAP function in global governance forums and leadership reviews.
- Influence enterprise technology strategy and SAP investment decisions.

Vendor & Partner Management
- Manage strategic relationships with SAP and implementation partners.
- Drive licensing optimization, roadmap alignment, and innovation partnerships.
- Oversee vendor governance and performance management processes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with leaders across:
- MuleSoft
- Salesforce
- ServiceNow
- Data & AI
- Enterprise Architecture
- Ensure seamless integration and delivery across the broader technology ecosystem.

SAP Center of Excellence (CoE)
- Establish and lead a GCC SAP Center of Excellence.
- Define standards, reusable assets, governance frameworks, training programs, and knowledge management processes.
- Promote innovation, automation, and continuous capability enhancement.

Industry Representation
- Represent BD's SAP capabilities in industry forums, SAP user groups (ASUG), conferences,



and partner ecosystem events.
- Build BD's brand presence within the SAP community and talent market.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- 14 years of SAP experience.
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing large SAP organizations (25 team members).
- Proven experience delivering large-scale S/4HANA transformation programs.
- Strong experience within GCC, shared services, or global delivery environments.
- Deep expertise across SAP solutions including:
- SAP S/4HANA
- SAP BTP
- SAP Commerce Cloud
- SAP Concur
- SAP Analytics Cloud
- SAP SuccessFactors
- Demonstrated P&L; ownership, budgeting, forecasting, and financial management experience.
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience building SAP Centers of Excellence and capability organizations.
- Manufacturing, MedTech, or Life Sciences industry experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or equivalent advanced management qualification.
- SAP Activate methodology certification or expertise.
- Experience with Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) models for GCC setup.
- Established relationships within the SAP partner ecosystem.
- Experience supporting FDA-regulated or EU MDR-regulated environments.
- Strong change management and organizational transformation experience.
