Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP RAP Developer with robust expertise in ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP), CDS Views, OData, SAP S/4HANA, and Clean Core architecture.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience developing RAP-based applications and APIs, working with managed and unmanaged RAP scenarios, complex CDS Views, performance optimization, and S/4HANA extensibility.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain applications using the ABAP RAP framework in SAP S/4HANA.
- Develop RAP-based UI applications, services, and APIs for business processes and system integration.
- Work extensively on managed and unmanaged RAP scenarios.
- Develop and maintain complex CDS Views / CDS View Entities based on business requirements.
- Design and develop OData services, particularly OData V4 services using RAP.
- Perform CDS View performance analysis and optimization.
- Develop RAP-based event-triggering mechanisms and application job-triggering solutions.
- Work with SAP HANA / HANA Cloud and optimize database-level performance.
- Follow Clean Core principles by minimizing custom modifications to the SAP core.
- Implement appropriate in-app and side-by-side extensibility approaches.
- Work with BOPF objects where required in existing S/4HANA applications.
- Develop reusable and scalable ABAP solutions following SAP development standards.
- Collaborate with functional consultants, architects, integration teams, and business stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide performance-focused solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and technical documentation.





Must-Have Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in ABAP RAP.
- Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA.
- Expertise in CDS Views / CDS View Entities.
- Strong knowledge of OData services.
- Hands-on experience with SAP HANA / HANA Cloud.
- Strong SQL knowledge.
- Experience developing complex CDS Views.
- Experience in CDS View performance analysis and optimization.
- Hands-on experience with RAP-based UI applications and APIs.
- Experience with both Managed and Unmanaged RAP scenarios.
- Strong understanding of Clean Core architecture and extensibility options.
- Experience with RAP-based event triggering and application job triggering.
- Good understanding of ABAP Object-Oriented Programming.

Additional Technical Skills
- Experience with BOPF objects.
- Experience with ABAP Screen Programming, including:
- Module Pool Programming
- RF Screen Programming
- Web Dynpro
- Knowledge of SAP Fiori / Fiori Elements is an advantage.
- Experience with ABAP Development Tools (ADT / Eclipse).
- Understanding of SAP S/4HANA extensibility and modern ABAP development practices.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with SAP BTP and side-by-side extensions.
- Knowledge of SAP Fiori Elements.
- Experience with cloud-based SAP architectures.
- Understanding of SAP Integration technologies.
- SAP ABAP / RAP certification is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Pay: ₹392,443.25 - ₹1,666,412.15 per year
