About the Role:

The Sales Officer / KYC Analyst – Merchant Onboarding will be responsible for collecting, validating, and verifying merchant information and documentation to ensure compliance with KYC regulations and company’s onboarding policies. The role involves merchant communication, KYC verification, risk assessment, documentation management, and coordination with Compliance and Legal teams to facilitate seamless merchant onboarding.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collect and validate KYC documents and information from new and existing merchants.
- Conduct thorough verification of merchant documents as per defined standards and procedures.
- Assess and categorize merchants based on risk profiles and identify cases requiring further due diligence.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of KYC documentation and verification processes.
- Communicate with merchants to obtain additional information and resolve discrepancies in submissions.
- Coordinate with Compliance and Legal teams to ensure adherence to KYC regulations and internal policies.
- Ensure data quality, accuracy, completeness,



and timely updation of merchant records.
- Contribute to improving KYC onboarding processes, tools, and overall operational efficiency.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in Banking, Fintech/Payments, Insurance, or Broking.
- Prior experience in KYC, Merchant Onboarding, Client Onboarding, or related functions.
- Robust understanding of KYC verification, documentation, AML, and customer due diligence processes.
- Familiarity with verification requirements for different entity types such as Sole Proprietorships, Partnerships, Private Limited and Public Limited companies.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and data quality orientation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong client-handling capabilities.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet timelines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant KYC/verification tools.

KPIs:

- Accuracy and completeness of merchant KYC documentation.
- Timely completion of merchant onboarding and verification.
- Compliance with KYC, AML, and internal onboarding requirements.
- Quality of risk assessment and identification of discrepancies/red flags.
- Effective merchant communication and resolution of documentation gaps.
- Maintenance of accurate and updated KYC records.
- Contribution towards improving onboarding efficiency and processes.
