This is a fantastic opportunity to study, train and work as a Pharmacy Assistant as part of our Pharmacy team based at Caithness General Hospital in Wick.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our pharmacy team and you will have the opportunity to work closely with pharmacy technicians and pharmacists.

You will be required to work through a structured training programme to meet the General Pharmaceutical Council minimum training requirements for the role.

You will need to be enthusiastic with strong interpersonal and organisational abilities,



good communication skills and a solid team work ethic. You must also demonstrate in your application that you possess good written communication skills, and are hard working with good attention to detail. You will need to be flexible in your approach and committed to completing the training programme.

Applicants must have achieved, or at the time of interview be working towards, 3 National 4 qualifications (or SCQF equivalent) which must include English, Maths and a Science subject as a minimum.

You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support workers in Scotland and to comply with the code of conduct throughout your employment.

You will be required to participate in departmental rotas for late opening and public holidays.
