Job Summary

Candidate motivated in water resources research to conduct research and development activities related to water resource management, pollutants (including emerging pollutants) removal and analysis hydrological modeling, water quality assessment, watershed management, climate change impacts, and sustainable water solutions. The candidate will contribute to research projects, publish scientific findings, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support the development of cutting-edge solutions for water-related challenges.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct research in water resources engineering, hydrology, hydrogeology, watershed management, and water quality.
- Preparation and characterization of advanced materials for water purification
- Develop and implement hydrological and hydraulic models using industry-standard software.
- Analyze surface water and groundwater data for resource assessment and management.
- Design and analysis of membrane distillation and pressure driven membranes and adsorbents
- Design and execute field investigations, sampling and monitoring programs.
- Evaluate impacts of climate change on water resources and develop adaptation strategies.
- Prepare technical reports, research papers, project proposals, and presentations.
- Support funded research projects and coordinate with academic, industrial, and government stakeholders.
- Perform statistical analysis and interpretation of environmental and water-related datasets.
- Contribute to innovation in water treatment, water reuse, resource recovery, and sustainable water management practices.
- Guide students, interns, and junior researchers where applicable.





Required Qualifications

- Ph.D./M.Tech./M.E. in Chemistry, chemical engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Hydrology, Hydrogeology, or related disciplines.
- Strong understanding of hydrological processes, water quality, water resource and water resources management.
- Preparation of advanced sustainable materials for water purifications
- Experience in research methodologies, data analysis, and scientific reporting.
- Proven publication record in peer-reviewed journals is desirable.
- Knowledge of national and international water management policies and regulations.
- Strong experimental knowledge on microplastic analysis in aquatic systems

Technical Skills

- Statistical Tools: R, Python, MATLAB, SPSS
- Analytical tool: SEM, FTIR, XRD, UV- Vis spectroscopy
- Water Quality Analysis and Environmental Monitoring
- Data Visualization and Scientific Writing

Preferred Experience

- Experience in externally funded research projects.
- Experience in climate change and water sustainability studies.
- Familiarity with machine learning and AI applications in water resources.
- Industry, consulting, government, or academic research experience.
- Pollutants identification and removal
