R&D; Engineer, VRLA Product Development

Job Responsibilities-

Candidate will be responsible for

- New product development, DOEs, maintaining existing product line, warranty analysis, value engineering, process optimisation & current process development
- Product Validation as per national & international standard specification and customised test specification
- Finite element analysis of new component design/existing component design validation
- Monitoring product cost
- Project Management
- Problem solving, Continuous improvement
- Engineering interventions for new product implementation or troubleshooting of exiting process
- SAP Transactions for in PP/MM module, BOM & Routing
- Performing DFMEA, PFMEA in collaboration with Cross functional teams
- Research on competitor products & technologies, benchmark against the competition products
- Communicating & making presentations with internal and external customers on the product technology, features and USPs.
- Training to Internal/External product support teams on various aspects of product functioning, installation and operation best known methods
- Presenting to Management on Project Progress





Employee Profile-

- Mechanical / Chemical Engineering graduate with 5-7 years of experience / Postgraduate with 3-4 years of experience in design engineering.

Essential-

- Knowledge of 3D modelling software such as Solidworks / Catia / NX / 2D drafting software such as AutoCAD
- Candidate shall have basic knowledge of Mechanical engineering subjects
- Candidate shall have interpersonal skills to communicate and collaborate with other stakeholders (Marketing, Factory, Service) regarding any developmental activities
- Candidate shall be a good team player and shall be able to deliver his/her responsibilities with the team
- Candidate must have sense of urgency of the responsibility that he/she will be handling

Desirable-

- Prior knowledge / experience of battery manufacturing process is preferred.

Prior knowledge or training of Ansys, Hyperworks or any other CAE tool in (hands on experience in static & transient, liner & non-linear structural analysis, thermal, thermal-electric, harmonic analysis) is preferred
