Job Overview

We are looking for a strong Red Hat Linux / RHEL Administrator with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in end-to-end Linux system administration. The candidate will be responsible for installation, configuration, maintenance, patching, security hardening, monitoring, troubleshooting, and production support of enterprise Red Hat Linux environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Red Hat Linux / RHEL System Administration.
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification preferred/required.
- Strong experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and administering Red Hat Linux servers across Development, Test, and Production environments.
- Experience managing the complete Linux server lifecycle, including installation, configuration, maintenance, monitoring, patching, upgrades, and decommissioning.
- Experience with Linux server backup and recovery.
- Strong understanding of Red Hat security advisories, vulnerabilities, patching, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with security hardening and configuration management.
- Solid troubleshooting skills with the ability to perform diagnosis, root-cause analysis, and resolution of hardware and operating-system issues.
- Strong knowledge of Linux filesystem management, including LVM, mounts, permissions, and storage troubleshooting.
- Good knowledge of Shell scripting for automation and administration.
- Experience working with enterprise hardware platforms.
- Exposure to Dell iDRAC and Cisco UCS is preferred.
- Knowledge of configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible / Ansible Tower is an added advantage.




- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and familiarity with Jira.
- Ability and willingness to participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure, administer, and maintain RHEL servers across multiple environments.
- Perform regular OS patching, upgrades, security hardening, and configuration changes.
- Review and remediate vulnerabilities based on Red Hat security advisories.
- Monitor system health, performance, availability, and capacity.
- Troubleshoot hardware, operating system, filesystem, networking, and performance issues.
- Perform root-cause analysis for recurring infrastructure issues.
- Manage filesystems, LVM, mounts, permissions, and storage-related activities.
- Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery activities.
- Automate routine administrative tasks using Shell scripting and configuration management tools.
- Maintain system documentation, configuration records, and operational procedures.
- Work with infrastructure, application, security, and cloud teams to resolve technical issues.
- Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes.
- Provide production support through a 24x7 on-call rotation.

Preferable / Good-to-Have Skills

- Good exposure to Cloud Native architecture, development, and deployment.
- Experience working with AWS or other public cloud platforms.
- Programming/scripting experience with Python or Ruby.
- Strong knowledge of configuration management tools such as Chef, Ansible, or Ansible Tower.
- Exposure to Kubernetes and/or OpenShift.
- Experience with containerized environments.
- Knowledge of infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code.
