Role Description The Quality Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Tamil Nadu, India.
The Quality
Manager will oversee the end-to-end quality management system, including incoming material inspection, in-process checks, and final product verification for rubber and polymer components.
Responsibilities include developing and updating quality control plans, establishing inspection standards, leading root cause analysis for non-conformities, and implementing corrective and preventive actions. The role will coordinate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure process discipline,
compliance with customer and regulatory requirements, and adherence to global quality benchmarks.
The Quality
Manager will also lead audits, manage quality documentation, train team members on quality practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on process stability, repeatability, and defect reduction.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in quality management, including quality planning, control, assurance, and improvement in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with quality tools and methodologies such as root cause analysis, CAPA, SPC, FMEA, control plans, and problem-solving techniques.
- Knowledge of automotive quality standards and systems (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 9001, PPAP, APQP) and experience managing customer and internal audits.
- Experience in process control for rubber or polymer components, including inspection methods, measurement systems, and documentation of process parameters.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering requirements, and translate them into practical quality criteria and work instructions.
- Strong data analysis skills for monitoring quality metrics, identifying trends, and reporting on process performance and improvement outcomes.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and guide shop-floor personnel on quality standards and practices.
- Proven experience in an automotive or component manufacturing environment; exposure to OEM or Tier-1 supplier requirements is an advantage.
