Job Summary:

The Quality Line Inspector will be responsible for inspecting products during the manufacturing process to ensure that components meet approved drawings, dimensions, specifications, and quality standards. The role involves identifying defects at the production stage and coordinating with the production team to maintain consistent product quality.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform in-process and line inspection of components during production.
- Inspect brass components, CNC/automatic lathe parts, precision turned components, fittings, and other manufactured products.
- Conduct first-piece inspection before starting regular production.
- Check product dimensions according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Inspect:
- Diameter and length
- Thread dimensions
- Hole/bore dimensions
- Surface finish
- Chamfer and radius
- Weight, where applicable
- Visual appearance
- Use measuring and inspection instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Thread Gauges, Plug Gauges, Ring Gauges, Height Gauge, and Bore Gauge.
- Verify components against specified tolerances and limits.
- Identify defective, rejected, and rework components during production.
- Immediately inform the Production Supervisor/QC Supervisor about quality issues.
- Segregate non-conforming material to prevent mixing with accepted material.
- Monitor production quality at regular intervals as per inspection requirements.
- Maintain in-process inspection reports and quality records.
- Ensure proper identification and traceability of inspected batches.




- Check that production is being carried out according to approved drawings and work instructions.
- Assist in identifying the root cause of repeated defects.
- Coordinate with production operators to reduce rejection and rework.
- Ensure measuring instruments are properly handled and used.
- Follow company quality procedures, safety rules, and inspection standards.

Required Skills
- Good knowledge of engineering drawings and dimensional inspection.
- Knowledge of tolerances, limits, fits, and basic GD&T; is preferred.
- Practical knowledge of measuring instruments and gauges.
- Positive observation and defect-identification skills.
- Basic knowledge of CNC/automatic machining processes.
- Ability to maintain inspection records.
- Valuable communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work in a production environment and follow shift schedules.
- Knowledge of brass/metal component manufacturing will be an advantage.

Qualification
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production, Quality, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in Quality Inspection / Line Inspection / In-Process Inspection preferred.
- Freshers with suitable technical knowledge may also be considered.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
