We are looking for a detail-oriented and quality-focused Factory QC Officer/Executive to ensure that raw materials, production processes, and finished products meet the required quality standards. The role involves conducting inspections, identifying defects, maintaining quality records, coordinating with production teams, and implementing corrective actions to minimize quality issues.

Key Responsibilities

1. Quality Inspection

- Inspect incoming raw materials, components, and packaging materials as per defined quality standards.

- Conduct in-process inspections at different stages of production.

- Inspect finished products before dispatch.

- Identify defects, deviations, and quality issues and report them promptly.

- Ensure products meet approved specifications and quality requirements.

1. Production Quality Control

- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.

- Conduct regular quality checks during manufacturing.

- Ensure proper sampling and testing procedures are followed.

- Coordinate with the Production team to address quality concerns.

- Stop or hold production/materials when serious quality deviations are identified, as per company procedures.

1. Defect &
- Non-Conformance Management

- Identify, document, and segregate defective or non-conforming materials/products.

- Maintain records of rejected, reworked, and approved materials.

- Investigate recurring quality issues and support root-cause analysis.

- Coordinate corrective and preventive actions with the concerned departments.

- Follow up to ensure corrective actions are effectively implemented.

1. Quality Documentation

- Maintain inspection reports, test reports, checklists,



and quality records.

- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly QC reports.

- Maintain records of incoming, in-process, and final inspections.

- Ensure proper documentation and traceability of products and batches.

- Assist in preparing quality-related documents for audits.

1. Testing &
- Measurement

- Perform quality tests and measurements as per established procedures.

- Ensure measuring instruments and testing equipment are properly maintained and calibrated.

- Record test results accurately.

- Report any abnormal test results or equipment issues to the Quality Manager.

1. Process Improvement

- Identify opportunities to improve product and process quality.

- Participate in root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Work with Production and Engineering teams to reduce defects, wastage, rework, and customer complaints.

- Monitor quality trends and recommend preventive measures.

1. Supplier &
- Customer Quality Support

- Support inspection of supplier materials and components.

- Coordinate with the Purchase/Stores team regarding rejected or defective materials.

- Assist in investigating customer complaints and quality concerns.

- Maintain records of customer-related quality issues and corrective actions.

1. Compliance &
- Safety





- Ensure QC activities are carried out according to company quality procedures and applicable standards.

- Follow factory safety rules and ensure safe handling of testing equipment and materials.

- Support internal and external quality audits when required.

Required Skills &

- Competencies

- Strong attention to detail and quality orientation.

- Good knowledge of quality inspection and control procedures.

- Ability to identify defects and deviations.

- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and coordination skills.

- Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare reports.

- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.

- Ability to work in a quick-paced factory environment.

- Good understanding of quality standards and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications &

- Experience

- Education: Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, Manufacturing, Chemical, or a relevant technical field.

- Experience: 25 years of experience in Quality Control within a manufacturing/factory environment.

- Experience with inspection tools and quality testing equipment will be an advantage.

- Knowledge of ISO 9001/QMS and quality documentation will be preferred.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Reduction in production defects and rejection rates.

- Accuracy and timely completion of quality inspections.

- Reduction in rework and material wastage.

- Timely identification and resolution of quality issues.

- Compliance with defined quality standards and procedures.

- Proper maintenance of QC records and reports.

- Reduction in customer complaints related to product quality.
