## About the Role

We are looking for an Quality Assurance Intern who will test backend systems that use Large Language Models, AI agents, and structured AI workflows.

Unlike conventional backend testing, AI systems may produce different outputs for similar inputs. The tester must therefore evaluate not only whether an API succeeds, but whether the AI output is correct, complete, structured, consistent, and usable by downstream systems.

This role is suitable for a fresher interested in both backend engineering and applied AI systems.

## Responsibilities

- Test APIs used by AI and LLM-based backend services.
- Validate input and output schemas for AI pipelines.
- Verify structured JSON outputs generated by LLMs.
- Test whether AI responses comply with required output schemas.
- Create test cases using different input types, edge cases, malformed inputs, and ambiguous inputs.
- Evaluate AI output for:
- Correctness
- Completeness
- Relevance
- Consistency
- Hallucination
- Missing information
- Incorrect formatting
- Test LLM workflows involving multi-agent steps.
- Validate retry and fallback behavior when an LLM provider fails.
- Test different AI models against the same input and expected contract.
- Verify asynchronous AI workflows involving:
- APIs
- Queues
- Workers
- Webhooks
- Long-running jobs
- Validate AI-generated outputs against source documents wherever applicable.
- Verify database state,



job status, and generated outputs across the full pipeline.
- Identify cases where technically valid AI output is logically incorrect.
- Build reusable AI test datasets and test cases.
- Document AI failures with input, model output, expected behavior, and reproducible evidence.

## Skills Required

### Must Have

- Basic understanding of REST APIs and JSON.
- Familiarity with Postman or similar API testing tools.
- Basic SQL knowledge.
- Understanding of backend request/response workflows.
- Basic knowledge of Large Language Models such as ChatGPT, OpenAI models, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek, or similar systems.
- Ability to evaluate whether an AI-generated response is logically correct.
- Strong analytical and reasoning ability.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work with structured data and JSON schemas.
- Interest in understanding how AI systems behave under different inputs.

### Good to Have

- Basic Python knowledge.
- Familiarity with Pydantic or JSON Schema.
- Understanding of prompts, system prompts, and structured outputs.
- Basic knowledge of AI agents and tool calling.
- Familiarity with embeddings, vector databases, or RAG.
- Understanding of OCR and document extraction.
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL.
- Exposure to Redis, SQS, Celery, BullMQ,



or similar systems.
- Basic understanding of automated testing frameworks such as Pytest.

Educational Background: B.Tech / B.E. / BCA / MCA / B.Sc. Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, or equivalent technical background.

Compensation

- ₹20,000 per month fixed stipend
- PPO opportunity based strictly on performance
- ₹4.25 LPA post-conversion
- PPO evaluation within 2–3 months
- Continuation is merit-driven
