Quality Assurance Engineer

Quality Assurance Engineer | Pune | Full-time The Quality Assurance Engineer is part of the Quality and Sustainability team at VOICE Pune and is responsible for the Site Incident Handling to support the Global Supplier Assurance team, and drives the activities to ensure materials delivered to project teams conform to specifications and other operational quality departmental activities. The Quality Assurance Engineer works closely with the Site Operations, Engineering, Technology and the Supplier Quality Assurance teams of Vanderlande.

What you will do

- Investigate and resolve Site Incident Handling (SIH) issues related to installation, project execution, distribution centers, and suppliers; coordinate with Project Execution, Site Management, customers, Site Operations, Engineering, Technology, Logistics, and Supplier Quality Assurance teams; evaluate quality issues, set priorities, and provide timely project support.
- Lead problem-solving efforts to ensure containment, conduct root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and establish systemic fixes to prevent recurrence.
- Report actions taken, escalate systemic issues where necessary, and maintain effective communication with stakeholders and the Supplier Single Point of Contact (SPOC).
- Independently handle SIH tickets in JIRA Tool, create SCAR requests, monitor progress, and communicate with stakeholders.
- Create and maintain quality reports, Technical Information Letters (TILs), and other documentation related to quality assurance activities.
- Gather, analyse, and present SIH quality data across sites, supply centers, and supplier performance trends.
- Provide regular reports and insights to stakeholders and internal teams.
- Identify and drive process improvements that strengthen quality assurance, streamline workflows, and enhance product and supplier quality performance.
- Identify high-impact systemic issues and process gaps, driving improvements that reduce effort and deliver cost savings.
- Perform Internal audits, contributing to the enhancement of audit processes and quality assurance measures.

What you bring

Technical Skills:

- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications, including GD&T;, ASME Y14.5,



and AWS/ISO weld symbols.
- Knowledge of inspection equipment, calibration requirements, and measurement system analysis tools such as Gage R&R; and MSA.
- Experience with dimensional and form inspection methods, including inspection limits and correction techniques.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as laser cutting, bending, welding, coating, machining, and casting.
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, including ISO 9001, and assessment and audit techniques.
- Knowledge of structured problem-solving and root cause analysis methods, including 8D and 5 Why.
- Knowledge of First Article and approval processes, including PPAP, PSW, FMEA, Control Plans, and work instructions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
- Sound knowledge of tools such as JIRA and Hubble/JD Edwards ERP is an advantage.
- Experience in working on the Project/Site Quality issues.

Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Metallurgy or Automobile Engineering with <10 years of related field/site and product quality experience.
