About the Role

Ortu Software Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a QA Engineer with 1-3 years of experience in testing websites and eCommerce stores.

The ideal candidate should have a good eye for detail and hands-on experience testing WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, and other web-based projects.

You will work closely with our developers and project team to ensure websites are functional, responsive, visually accurate, and ready for client delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Test websites and eCommerce stores for functionality, usability, and design accuracy.
- Test WordPress, WooCommerce, and Shopify websites.
- Check completed websites against approved designs and project requirements.
- Test websites across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
- Perform cross-browser testing on Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, etc.
- Test forms, menus, links, buttons, search, filters, login/registration, and other website functionality.
- Test eCommerce functionality including products, variants, cart, checkout, coupons, shipping, payments, and order emails.
- Identify design, responsive, content, and functionality issues.
- Prepare and maintain test cases and QA checklists based on project requirements.
- Report bugs clearly with screenshots, steps to reproduce, expected results, and relevant details.




- Re-test issues after developers complete fixes and perform regression testing where required.
- Perform complete pre-launch and post-launch QA.

Required Skills

- 1-3 years of experience in website/software QA.
- Good hands-on experience with manual website testing.
- Experience testing WordPress, WooCommerce, and Shopify websites.
- Good understanding of SDLC and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle), including test planning, test case preparation, test execution, bug reporting, retesting, and regression testing.
- Good understanding of responsive and cross-browser testing.
- Understanding of common eCommerce functionality and customer journeys.
- Ability to identify both visual/design and functional issues.
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS would be an advantage.
- Good written communication and robust attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of QA.
- Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar tools to assist with test cases, test scenarios, troubleshooting, and other QA activities would be an advantage.

What Were Looking For We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, responsible, proactive, and has a strong eye for quality. You should be able to review a website from both the client's and end user's perspective and identify issues before the website reaches the client.

Previous experience working with a web development or eCommerce agency would be an advantage.
