About The Role The Application Analyst – Technical Documentation role at Highbrow Technology Inc is a vital position responsible for analyzing existing applications and producing detailed technical documentation. This role ensures that our applications are well-understood internally, facilitating seamless maintenance, knowledge transfer, and future development efforts.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in application analysis, technical writing, and supporting documentation processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, support staff, and business stakeholders, to gather technical insights, review source code, and create comprehensive documentation that accurately reflects application architecture, data flows, and integration points.

Qualifications Candidates should have a minimum of 5-6 years of experience in application analysis, business analysis, technical documentation, or application support.



Proven expertise in application analysis, business processes, and technical writing is essential.

Experience with Python development is mandatory, along with a solid understanding of web applications, APIs, databases, and cloud environments. Familiarity with PHP, Symfony, JavaScript, MySQL, Linux, and Azure is highly preferred. Proficiency with documentation and diagramming tools such as Confluence, Jira, Visio, or Lucidchart is required.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, comprehensive documentation.

Responsibilities

- Understand and analyze application functionality, architecture, integrations, and data flows to develop accurate technical documentation.
- Collaborate effectively with developers, support teams, and business stakeholders to gather technical information and clarify requirements.
- Review source code, databases, APIs, and infrastructure components to ensure documentation accuracy and completeness.
- Create detailed technical documents, architecture diagrams, process flows, and support runbooks to facilitate ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting.




- Develop knowledge transfer materials and support documentation to assist onboarding and training efforts.
- Identify potential enhancement opportunities within applications and document recommended improvements for future development.
- Maintain and update existing documentation to reflect system changes, upgrades, or new features.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving application issues by providing clear technical insights through documentation.
