About the Role The Order Engineering Experience team enables the rest of the organization to focus on the delivery of new features and maintenance of existing products, by fostering best practices and streamlining tools, processes and technologies. In the SAFe organization, the team structures its activities in Kanban as part of a transversal DevOps Agile Release Train.

The mission

- Granting a stable, effective development environment for our engineers, and supporting them to use it effectively.
- Contributing to the definition, development, deployment and maintenance of state-of-the-art CI/CD pipelines.
- Developing and maintaining shared tools.
- Defining engineering best practices and fostering them in the engineering community, with a particular focus to leveraging GenAI technologies.

At the heart of the Engineering Experience team is the relation with the members of our engineering community, and this mission is especially focused on the proximity with teams in APAC zone: collecting requirements and understanding pain points, working with the team to design and develop solutions, accompanying the engineering community in the adoption and take their feedback for further improvements.

Accountabilities

As a member of the Order engineering community, you will have to:





- Collect and analyze requirements, make sure they are properly documented.
- Design systems and code.
- Design technical solutions and perform feasibility studies.
- Propose viable technical solutions to the team and/or users for validation.
- Develop software according to Amadeus standards.
- Test and maintain the software.
- Conduct unit, package and performance tests and ensure a level of quality in line with the Amadeus guidelines.
- Participate in the validation phase of the product cycle, fine-tuning when necessary to finalize the product.
- Monitor and debug existing solutions, fix bugs.
- Document your work.
- Produce software documentation necessary for the application and issue it to the requesting departments.
- Follow Agile best practices (Kanban, SAFe) and actively participate to the continuous improvement of the team.

Specific software development competences requested:

- C++ - at least basic knowledge and experience in a professional environment.
- Python and Shell scripting – knowledge required.
- Git – good knowledge required.
- Cloud tools (Kubernetes, OpenShift, ArgoCD…) and Java – nice-to-have complementary skills.
