Position: Purchase Head

Job Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the complete purchase and procurement function for construction projects.
- Plan procurement of construction materials, equipment, services, and project requirements as per site schedules.
- Identify, evaluate, develop, and maintain reliable vendors and suppliers.
- Obtain quotations, prepare/approve comparative statements, negotiate rates, payment terms, credit periods, and delivery schedules.
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to project sites without affecting project progress.
- Monitor market rates, material availability, price fluctuations, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Coordinate with Site, Projects, Stores, Billing & Quantity, Accounts, and Management for procurement requirements.
- Monitor vendor performance, material quality, delivery timelines, and resolve supply-related issues.
- Review and control Purchase Orders (POs)



and ensure proper procurement documentation.
- Maintain optimum inventory levels and avoid material shortages or unnecessary purchases.
- Lead and supervise the Purchase Team and ensure smooth day-to-day procurement operations.
- Prepare procurement reports covering pending orders, material status, vendor performance, and cost savings for management.
- Develop long-term vendor relationships and negotiate bulk/contract rates wherever required.

Candidate Profile

- Graduate/Diploma in any relevant discipline; MBA/PG Diploma in Supply Chain/Procurement
- Minimum 5 years of relevant purchase/procurement experience, preferably in Real Estate/Construction.
- Solid knowledge of construction materials, vendor management, negotiation, and procurement processes.
- Good communication, leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
