Role Description The Public Policy & Strategy Intern will support policy research, analysis, and strategic advisory projects in an on-site role based in Satara. The internship involves gathering and synthesizing data from government reports, policy documents, and media sources, and preparing briefs, presentations, and memos for internal and client use. The intern will assist in stakeholder mapping, tracking legislative and governance developments, and contributing to campaign and communication strategies.





Day-to-day tasks may include collaborating with team members on project design, participating in meetings with partners and government stakeholders, and helping with documentation and knowledge management. This internship role is designed to offer hands-on experience in public policy, governance, and strategy within a fast-paced, impact-driven setting.

Qualifications

- Robust foundation in governmental affairs and government relations, with interest in India’s public policy and governance ecosystem.
- Experience or demonstrated interest in legislative relations and understanding of policy, legal, or regulatory processes.
- Solid analytical skills, including the ability to interpret data, evaluate policy options, and draw evidence-based conclusions.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear written reports, briefs, and presentations, and communicate with diverse stakeholders.
- Pursuing or holding a degree in public policy, political science, economics, law, development studies, or related fields.
- Proficiency in MS Office or Google Workspace; familiarity with data visualization or basic research tools is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Satara, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate in a multidisciplinary, mission-driven team.
- Knowledge of Indian socio-political dynamics and fluency in English; proficiency in regional languages is beneficial.
