About the RoleWe are looking for a detail-oriented and skilled Proofreader to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of English grammar, spelling, punctuation, sentence structure, and brand communication.

You will be responsible for reviewing and proofreading creative and marketing content across multiple platforms, ensuring that all communication is accurate, clear, consistent, and aligned with the brand's tone and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

- Proofread and edit content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, sentence structure, and overall readability.
- Review social media posts, captions, ad copies, scripts, website content, presentations, brochures, campaigns, and other marketing/creative materials.
- Identify and correct grammatical, factual, typographical, and formatting errors before final delivery.
- Ensure consistency in brand tone, terminology, style, capitalization, and formatting across all content.
- Review content from a reader's perspective and suggest improvements where required.
- Coordinate with copywriters, content writers, designers, account managers, and creative teams to ensure error-free deliverables.
- Proofread content within tight deadlines, especially for time-sensitive campaigns and client requirements.
- Cross-check names, dates, numbers, statistics, product details, references, and other factual information wherever required.
- Maintain and follow brand-specific style guides and client communication guidelines.
- Review final artwork/content before it is shared with the client or published.




- Ensure consistency across different versions and formats of the same campaign or communication.
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Mass Communication, Literature, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Proofreader, Copy Editor, Content Editor, or similar role, preferably in an advertising, creative, digital marketing, media, or communications agency.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Strong knowledge of grammar, punctuation, spelling, sentence construction, and copy-editing principles.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot even minor errors.
- Ability to understand different brand voices and communication styles.
- Positive understanding of digital and social media content.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Word, Google Docs, and other basic content-editing tools.

Preferred

- Experience working in an advertising/creative agency.
- Exposure to proofreading campaigns, social media content, scripts, and digital marketing communication.
- Familiarity with AP Style, Oxford style, or other recognised editorial style guides.
- Ability to work on both short-form and long-form content.
