Project Manager (Water Sports & Performance Apparel, India & Asia)

Location: New Delhi, India

Travel Requirement: Extensive travel across India & Asia (4060%)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to lead our business development and market expansion initiatives across India and Asia in the water sports industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of water sports disciplines along with proven experience in project management, athlete engagement, federation coordination, and event execution.

This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent stakeholder management skills who can represent the organization across national and international platforms while driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Market Expansion

- Identify and develop new business opportunities across India and Asian markets.
- Build and execute strategic plans for market penetration and revenue growth.
- Develop partnerships with distributors, dealers, sports organizations, and government bodies.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.

Athlete & Federation Relations
- Build long-term relationships with athletes, coaches, sports academies, and national/international federations.
- Coordinate sponsorships, athlete endorsements, and technical collaborations.
- Represent the organization during federation meetings, exhibitions, and sporting events.

Project & Event Management
- Plan, organize, and execute national and international sporting events, product launches, and promotional campaigns.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
- Ensure successful delivery of multiple projects while maintaining quality standards.

Technical Leadership




- Provide technical guidance and product expertise across:

- Sailing

- Kayaking

- Canoeing

- Canoe Slalom

- Rowing
- Conduct product demonstrations, technical workshops, and training sessions.

Marketing & Brand Development
- Support marketing campaigns and brand-building initiatives.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to increase product visibility.
- Gather customer feedback and market insights for product improvements.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in project management, business development, or sports management.
- Strong understanding of international water sports ecosystems and governing bodies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively across India and Asia.

Preferred Qualifications
- Former National or International Athlete.
- Experience working with Sailing, Kayaking, Canoeing, Canoe Slalom, or Rowing Federations.
- Experience in Sports Apparel, Marine Equipment, Outdoor Sports, or Sporting Goods industry.
- Existing professional network within the Indian and Asian water sports community.
