Job Summary
Position Name: Program Coordinator Reporting to: Associate Director- Social Mobilization
Number of Positions: 01
Location: Vijaynagram
Qualification: Graduation in any discipline with three years relevant experience
Language: Fluency in verbal and written in Telugu language
Responsibilities
- Identify and recruit Community Link Workers (CLWs) at the panchayat level.
- Organize training programs for CLWs at the block level.
- Develop a comprehensive project implementation plan.
- Create a community engagement strategy at the panchayat and block levels with the support of CLWs.
- Collaborate with district authorities, including the District Magistrate, Chief District Medical Officer, District Public Health Officer, and ADPHO.
- Compile a block-level directory of various platforms, such as schools, Self-Help Groups (SHGs), and panchayats.
- Support the Senior Director-NTD in developing communication materials for communities and health workers.
- Liaise with stakeholders, including the DPRO, BDO, Ward Parshads, and Village Panchayat leaders, to align project needs and goals.
- Facilitate collaboration with local media for Malaria Management and Disability Prevention (MMDP) activities.
- Identify and support local-level partners to facilitate partnerships for Vector-Borne Disease (VBD) prevention activities.
- Coordinate with the district VBD team to ensure consistent and sufficient IEC materials for Mass Drug Administration (MDA) and MMDP in the field.
- Participate in District Health Society meetings, District Task Force meetings, Block Task Force meetings, and other relevant district/block-level meetings.
- Provide regular updates to the District Medical Officer (DMO) and Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO).
- Conduct supportive supervision visits in the project areas to ensure effective implementation.
Education Qualification/Required Skills Experience
Graduation in any discipline with three years relevant experience
Skills and Competencies
- Understanding of the development sector and critical cross cutting themes such as gender and advocacy
- Possess leadership skill and is decisive, action oriented and adaptable
- Solid networking and relationship building skills
- Ability to work against tight timelines
- Good knowledge of MS office
- Fluency in verbal and written in Telugu language
- Willingness to travel to the field
