Role Description The Professor in Computer Science and Engineering is a full-time, on-site position based at GRT Institute of Engineering and Technology in Tiruttani. The role involves planning and delivering undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Computer Science and Engineering, including lectures, tutorials, labs, and seminars. The professor will design and update curricula, supervise student projects and research, mentor learners, and support their academic and career development.

Responsibilities include conducting and publishing research, pursuing funded projects, participating in academic committees, contributing to accreditation and quality assurance processes,



and engaging in industry collaboration and outreach activities. The role also requires maintaining up-to-date knowledge in relevant domains, such as data science, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies, and integrating these into teaching and research.

Qualifications

- Strong academic background in Computer Science and Engineering, with expertise in core Computer Science concepts.
- Proficiency in Programming and software development practices relevant to engineering education.
- Knowledge and experience in Data Science, including data analysis, machine learning, or related areas.
- Specialization or significant experience in Cybersecurity, information security, or network security.
- Demonstrated ability in Curriculum Development, instructional design, and outcome-based education.
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Computer Science and Engineering, or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Evidence of research output such as publications in peer-reviewed journals and conferences, and experience guiding student projects or theses.
- Effective classroom management, mentoring, and communication skills, with the ability to teach diverse learners.
- Familiarity with AICTE and Anna University regulations, accreditation frameworks (NBA, NAAC), and academic quality processes.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, administration, and industry partners, and to contribute to departmental and institutional development.
