Job Profile: Application Production Support - RISK IT

Location: Mumbai Thane, India

Employment Type: Full-Time

Preferred experience: - 2.1-5 years The Role:

We are looking for an experienced Application Production Support / Support Analyst to provide enterprise-level technical and business support to global users of Risk Systems. The role will be responsible for ensuring the timely availability and functional provision of risk systems, troubleshooting functional and data-related issues, maintaining data integrity, and delivering high-quality support within agreed service levels. The candidate should have strong knowledge of Investment Banking and Risk Management, along with hands-on experience in Unix/Linux, Shell/Python scripting and SQL-Sybase.

Responsibilities

Application Production Support

- Provide enterprise-level technical and business support to global Risk Systems users.
- Ensure users receive the agreed level of service and that risk information is available accurately and on time.
- Support critical production systems and ensure operational processes are followed effectively.
- Research, diagnose and troubleshoot functional, data-related issues and user queries.
- Ensure data integrity within the Risk Systems workplace.

Risk Management & Business Support

- Understand the overall business flow within the Investment Banking domain.
- Ensure counterparty deliveries, Stress, FMRC, BT and Calibration data are available,



correctly calculated and meet required data-quality standards.
- Support accurate calculation and reporting of key risk measures including VaR, Stress VaR, IRC, CRM, Counterparty Risk Exposure Capital and VaR-on-CVA.
- Support timely model re-calibration and back-testing required for capital declaration.
- Support risk measures including CVA, Market Risk Reserves, Stress Testing and Greeks for monitoring, analysis and reporting.
- Provide first-level explanations on movements in Risk Sensitivities, Capital Charges, Reserves, Stress Tests, CVA, Limits and Exposure.

Reporting, Stakeholder Management & Process

- Understand KPI reporting and prepare accurate and timely reports.
- Maintain quality of deliverables and monitor key KPIs and trends.
- Communicate appropriately and promptly with all stakeholders.
- Provide inputs to implementation plans and operate effectively within an Agile methodology.
- Maintain high standards of documentation, processes and environmental controls.
- Apply creative problem-solving skills and work comfortably in ambiguous situations.

Must-Have Qualifications

- Minimum 2–5 years of strong Production Support experience, preferably in the Investment Banking domain.
- Prior experience in a similar domain.
- At least 2 years of Risk Management experience
- Strong IT Production Support / Application Production Support experience in Investment Banking.
- Experience working with critical production systems following the SDLC lifecycle.
- Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux systems.
- Hands-on experience with Shell or Python scripting.
- Hands-on experience with SQL – Sybase.
- Experience of Java would be an added advantage
- Experience of Dynatrace, Geneos and ITSM Tools.
- Knowledge of Counterparty Risk, Capital Markets, Market Risk or Credit Risk.
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical ability and ability to work effectively as a team player.

Preferred / Good-to-Have Qualifications

- Knowledge of Python.
- Knowledge of Power BI.
