Role DescriptionPalriwal Industries Private Limited is seeking an experienced Production Incharge – CCR (Aluminium Wire Rod Rolling Mill) for a full-time, on-site position at its manufacturing facility in Ranchi, Jharkhand.

The Production Incharge will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Continuous Casting and Rolling (CCR) section and ensuring the protected, efficient, and consistent production of aluminium and aluminium-alloy wire rods.

The candidate must have hands-on experience in producing different grades of aluminium and alloy wire rods, including 8176, AL59, EC Grade, 6210, STAL, and other specialized grades. The candidate should possess a thorough understanding of the process controls and metallurgical requirements applicable to each grade.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, execute, and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
- Manage the complete CCR process, including melting, alloy preparation, metal treatment, casting, rolling, cooling, coiling, and finished-product handling.




- Ensure the production of wire rods in grades such as 8176, AL59, EC, 6210, STAL, and other aluminium and alloy grades as per applicable specifications.
- Control critical process parameters to achieve the required chemical composition, electrical conductivity, tensile strength, elongation, surface finish, dimensional accuracy, and other specified properties.
- Supervise operators, technicians, and shop-floor personnel across production shifts.
- Coordinate with the Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Purchase, and other departments to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Troubleshoot casting, rolling, coiling, furnace, and other process- or equipment-related issues.
- Optimize production output, machine performance, yield, energy consumption, and overall operating efficiency.
- Monitor metal recovery, raw-material consumption, process losses, rejection, scrap generation, and wastage.
- Ensure adherence to approved SOPs, quality-management systems, safety procedures, statutory requirements, and applicable product standards.
- Maintain production records, process-control data, shift reports, material-reconciliation statements, downtime records, and management reports.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for process deviations, equipment failures, and product-quality issues.
- Lead continuous-improvement, productivity-enhancement, cost-reduction, and process-optimization initiatives.
- Train, guide,



and develop operators and production personnel to strengthen technical capabilities and operational discipline.

Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical, Mechanical, Electrical, Production Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Substantial hands-on experience in operating or managing an aluminium Continuous Casting and Rolling mill.
- Proven experience in successfully producing multiple grades of aluminium and alloy wire rods, including 8176, AL59, EC Grade, 6210, STAL, and other specialized grades, is essential.
- Strong knowledge of aluminium melting, alloying, degassing, filtration, grain refinement, casting, rolling, cooling, and coiling processes.
- Sound understanding of the chemical, metallurgical, mechanical, and electrical properties required for different wire-rod grades.
- Ability to identify and resolve issues relating to surface defects, cracks, inclusions, dimensional variation, conductivity, tensile strength, elongation, coil formation, and other quality parameters.
- Strong production planning, shop-floor management, shift management, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Working knowledge of ISO-based quality-management systems, process inspection, applicable product standards, and industrial safety practices.
- Experience in managing production teams and coordinating effectively with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, and senior management.
- Strong leadership, communication, documentation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in an industrial environment and manage rotational shifts as required.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and production-related documentation and reporting.
- Experience in an aluminium wire rod mill or aluminium conductor manufacturing facility will be strongly preferred.
