WHO WE ARE
Kutlerri.ai builds AI agents for restaurants. Two metrics: revenue and cost.
Every agent we ship either grows one or cuts the other. That's the whole charter, and it's also the whole filter. If an idea can't point at one of those two numbers for an operator, we don't build it.
First agent out the door is the Catering Sales Agent. Catering is the highest-margin line in a restaurant and the most neglected one, because nobody has time to chase it between rushes. So the agent chases it: catches every inquiry, replies in minutes instead of days, quotes, follows up, and turns one-off orders into repeat accounts. All of it from the operator's phone.
Restaurants are one of the largest industries in America and one of the least served by software that actually adds revenue. Almost nobody is building AI agents for an operator's bottom line, which means the category is still unnamed.
Building what comes after catering is what we're hiring for.
THE JOB The roadmap behind catering is long: margin recovery, prep forecasting, menu economics, winning back lost customers. The founders set the direction. Your job is to turn that direction into shipped product: run the discovery, write the specs, sit inside the build with engineering, and carry each agent from first pilot to paying operators.
This is a builder's role, not a strategy seat. You'll spend as much time inside POS exports and agent transcripts as inside docs. Some weeks the job is a spec review. Some weeks it's reading pilot transcripts at night because the operator call is at 9am Texas time. Both are the job.
WHAT YOU OWN
Discovery: For each agent in the pipeline, you talk to owners and GMs until you know their P&L; better than they expect you to.
What they say in a demo and what they do on a Tuesday are different things. You chase the second one.
The spec: What the agent knows, what it's allowed to do on its own, where a human stays in the loop, and how its output gets explained to a skeptical operator who has been burned by software before.
Data and workflows: POS exports, delivery platforms, inventory systems. You map an operator's messy reality into inputs an agent can act on, and you know where the consent and legal lines sit before an engineer has to ask.
The build: You sit inside it, not upstream of it. Specs sharp enough that draft one is buildable, ruthless scoping, and a weekly ship cadence engineering never has to slow down to interpret.
Pilots: You recruit the design partners, define success before the first login, and turn what you learn into the v1. An install is not a win. An operator who made money is.
The feedback loop: Every pilot learning goes back to the founders in writing: what worked, what we killed, and why. The next build starts smarter than the last one because of you.
WHAT GOOD LOOKS LIKE IN 6 MONTHS
One current agent live with paying design partners, with a clear revenue story per location.
Engineering never blocked on ambiguity. Founders never surprised by what shipped.
A written trail of what we learned, what we killed, and why.
IS THIS YOU
We care about what you shipped, not how long you've been around.
You have 1 to 3 years in product and at least one thing you took from idea to live users. A side project counts if real people used it.
You've built with LLMs, not just chatted with them. You have opinions about evals, guardrails, and when the human stays in the loop, and you can defend them.
Data doesn't scare you. Hand you a messy POS export and a deadline, and you come back with the answer, not a request for a cleaner file.
You write clearly. Decisions live in docs here, and our customers experience us mostly in writing.
You go deep without being asked. Two months in, you'll know more about restaurant catering than we expected you to, because digging into a new space is the fun part for you.
US evenings don't bother you. That's when operators are free to talk, so some of your calls will be theirs to schedule.
HOW WE WORK
Five things we actually hire and fire on.
Default Driver Mode. You own outcomes without being asked. Nothing is someone else's job.
Customer Over Everything. Operator reality beats internal opinion, every time.
Ship, Learn, Fix, Repeat. Speed of iteration is the strategy.
Progress Beats Perfection. A live v1 teaches more than a perfect spec.
Zero Ego. The best argument wins, and sometimes it won't be yours.
WHY YOU'D WANT THIS
You work directly with the founding team. There's no layer between you and a decision, and no product org to wait on. What ships next at Kutlerri.ai will have your name inside it.
We have paying US customers, so you're not building on a promise. You're building the second, third, and fourth products of a company whose first one already makes operators money.
Decisions in hours. Launches in days. Credit given loudly. Competitive cash for the stage.
ONE QUESTION WE ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT
What's the best thing you've shipped, and what did you kill to ship it?
Lead with that. Send it to
