About Controvia AI

Controvia AI is developing an AI platform that automatically audits employee expense claims for large organisations.

Enterprise customers have complex policies, workflows, data sources and audit requirements. Building a product that handles this complexity while remaining intuitive is an engaging product challenge.

We're looking for a Product Manager to help us solve it.

The Role

You'll work closely with the founder, engineering team and enterprise customers to determine what we should build and why.

This is a hands-on early-stage product role.

You won't inherit a large product organisation or a perfectly defined roadmap. You'll speak with customers, understand workflows, define requirements, prioritise features and work closely with engineers to deliver them.

Responsibilities

Product Discovery

- Speak directly with enterprise customers and prospects.
- Understand finance and expense-audit workflows.
- Identify recurring customer problems.
- Distinguish genuine product requirements from one-off requests.

Product Definition

- Translate customer needs into clear product requirements.
- Write user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Define workflows and expected behaviours.
- Work with designers and engineers on solutions.

Roadmap & Prioritisation

- Maintain and prioritise the product backlog.
- Balance customer requests, commercial priorities and long-term product strategy.




- Coordinate releases with engineering.
- Communicate priorities clearly across the company.

Product Learning

- Track how customers use the product.
- Gather structured feedback.
- Identify opportunities to improve usability and value.
- Help develop a scalable product from early enterprise implementations.

- What We're Looking For

Essential

- 3 years of product management or closely related experience.
- Experience working with software products.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication.
- Ability to work closely with technical teams.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid iteration.

Highly Desirable

- Experience with AI/ML products.
- B2B SaaS or enterprise software experience.
- Experience with finance, ERP, audit or workflow products.
- Technical background or strong technical understanding.
