ABOUT TWIGS DIRECT

Twigs Direct is a luxury bespoke wooden furniture and home decor brand focused on creating thoughtfully designed, beautifully crafted pieces for residential and commercial spaces.

We are looking for a versatile Product / Industrial Designer who can work across furniture, home decor, accessories, and interior spaces — taking ideas from concept development through detailing and production.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design furniture, home decor, and accessory pieces from concept through production-ready development.
- Create detailed 3D models, technical drawings, and production drawings using Rhino, SketchUp, AutoCAD, or similar software.
- Develop designs with a strong understanding of functionality, proportions, materials, construction, and manufacturing.
- Collaborate closely with production, CNC, carpentry, and workshop teams to ensure design intent is maintained through manufacturing.
- Work with materials including wood, metal, upholstery, and other materials to develop new products and collections.
- Support interior and spatial design requirements for bespoke client projects when required.
- Develop prototypes and iterate designs based on manufacturing feasibility, functionality, aesthetics, and cost.
- Contribute to the development of new furniture and home decor collections.

REQUIREMENTS

- 2+ years of professional experience in industrial design, product design, furniture design, or interior design.
- Solid 3D modelling and technical drawing skills.




- Proficiency in Rhino, SketchUp, AutoCAD, or similar design software.
- Good understanding of furniture construction, materials, joinery, detailing, and manufacturing processes.
- Robust sense of proportion, aesthetics, functionality, and attention to detail.
- Ability to take a design from an initial concept through to production.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Genuine interest in bespoke, luxury furniture and design.
- AI-forward approach: comfortable using AI tools to accelerate ideation, research, visualisation, documentation, and overall design workflows.

PREFERRED / BONUS SKILLS

- Experience with CNC or laser cutting workflows.
- Experience with BOQs, costing, and material estimation.
- Experience designing accessories or smaller home decor products.
- Experience working directly with furniture manufacturers, workshops, or craftsmen.
