Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic professional with 10–15 years of experience in procurement and trading, preferably in agri commodities. The candidate will be responsible for leading sourcing strategies, managing vendor networks, driving trading operations, and ensuring profitability. This role requires strong mandi network expertise, negotiation skills, and leadership capability to manage end-to-end procurement and trading functions.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Procurement Responsibilities:

· Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business goals.

· Build and manage a strong vendor and mandi network across regions.

· Identify reliable suppliers and ensure consistent quality and supply of agri commodities.

· Lead price negotiations, contract finalization, and vendor agreements.

· Monitor procurement budgets and optimize cost efficiencies.

· Ensure timely sourcing and availability of commodities as per business demand.

· Maintain strong relationships with farmers, traders, and aggregators.

· Ensure compliance with procurement policies and industry regulations.

· Track procurement performance and generate MIS reports for management review.

B. Trading & Market Operations Responsibilities:

· Lead and manage trading desk operations for agri commodities.

· Analyze market trends, price fluctuations, and demand-supply dynamics.

· Develop and execute trading strategies to maximize profitability.

· Monitor daily commodity prices and make data-driven trading decisions.

· Manage risk and ensure effective hedging strategies where applicable.





· Coordinate with sales, logistics, and finance teams for seamless trading operations.

· Identify new trading opportunities and expand commodity portfolio.

· Ensure compliance with trading regulations and internal controls.

Required Skills:

· Strong knowledge of agri commodities procurement and trading practices.

· Expertise in mandi operations and supplier ecosystem.

· Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.

· Robust analytical and decision-making abilities.

· Leadership and team management skills.

· Proficiency in MIS reporting and data analysis.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic market environment.

Qualifications:

· MBA / PGDM in Supply Chain, Operations, Agribusiness, or related field.

· 10–15 years of relevant experience in procurement and trading.

· Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, Commerce, or related field.

Preferred Skills:

· Experience in agri commodities / FMCG / food industry.

· Strong industry network (mandis, traders, suppliers).

· Knowledge of commodity markets and pricing mechanisms.

· Exposure to trading platforms and risk management practices.
