ROLE PURPOSE

Manage end-to-end procurement for industrial operations and property projects, ensuring that specifications are clarified, quotations are competitive, evaluations are documented and orders are delivered on time. The role is accountable for transparent vendor selection, commercial discipline, documentation and measurable value creation.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & EXPECTED OUTCOMES

- Review purchase requests, clarify specifications and issue RFQs for equipment, spares, services, construction materials and operating requirements.
- Build and maintain qualified vendor databases, identify alternate sources and perform preliminary supplier due diligence.
- Prepare technical-commercial comparisons covering price, taxes, delivery, payment terms, warranty, exclusions and total landed cost.
- Negotiate within delegated authority and prepare purchase recommendations and purchase orders for approval.
- Track order acknowledgement, drawings, inspections, dispatch, delivery, documentation,



invoices and pending claims until closure.
- Monitor vendor performance, lead times, quality issues, savings and procurement risks through transparent trackers and periodic reporting.
- Maintain conflict-of-interest, quotation and approval records in accordance with company procurement controls.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Supply Chain, Commerce or a relevant discipline.
- Minimum 4 years of direct sourcing and procurement experience in industrial operations, construction or project environments.
- Practical experience in RFQs, comparative statements, negotiation, purchase orders and supplier follow-up.
- Strong Excel, documentation and commercial-analysis capability; ERP exposure is preferred.
- High integrity, attention to detail and willingness to be based in West Tambaram, Chennai and travel to vendors and project sites.
