- Offer remote and in office technical advisory support, including troubleshooting, optimization, debottlenecking, revamp, and upgrade activities for FCC units, with comprehensive service reporting.
- Drive initiatives to improve process safety, reduce manufacturing costs, and increase FCC unit reliability and yield.
- Develop and enforce best practices and standards for FCC engineering and maintenance, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support project teams and contractors during FCC engineering, procurement, and installation activities, providing technical expertise and oversight.
- Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines to optimize equipment performance and integration.

- Perform regular audits and inspections to ensure FCC units comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Assess and recommend new technologies, catalysts, and control strategies for FCC process improvement and optimization.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and updates related to FCC operations and engineering activities.
- Participate in business planning and collaborate with stakeholders on capital investment projects for FCC facilities.
- Organize and facilitate technical knowledge exchange workshops with licensors and global manufacturing teams.
- Design and deliver technical training programs to enhance skills and knowledge of FCC operations across facilities.
- Participate in incident investigations related to FCC processes, providing expert analysis and corrective recommendations.

Minimum Requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering; advanced degrees preferred.
- At least 15 years of refinery operations experience, with a minimum of 10 years in FCC-specific roles.
- Proven track record of successfully optimizing FCC units, with documented improvements in yield, efficiency, or reliability.
- Extensive knowledge of FCC processes, equipment, catalyst chemistry, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficiency in process simulation tools such as Aspen HYSYS or Petro-SIM.
- Strong understanding of refinery economics and how FCC performance impacts overall profitability.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as API and ASME regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of preparing comprehensive technical reports and delivering presentations to diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently or collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience mentoring and training junior engineers and operators in FCC operations and optimization strategies.
