Role Summary

Architects enterprise Kubernetes and cloud platforms spanning AWS multi-account environments, networking, security, and cost governance. Designs highly available, fault-tolerant infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, container orchestration, and GitOps-based CI/CD automation. Builds self-service developer platforms and observability solutions that improve engineering productivity, reliability, and deployment velocity.

What You’ll Do

Cloud & Platform Architecture (Leading)

- Architect enterprise cloud infrastructure on AWS, including multi-account strategy, networking, security,



identity management, governance, and cost optimization.

- Design highly available, fault-tolerant, disaster-recovery-ready infrastructure supporting mission-critical applications.

- Define DevOps architecture standards, platform engineering practices, security controls, and operational governance across engineering teams.

Hands-On Platform Engineering (Doing)

- Design enterprise DevOps platforms using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and GitOps.

- Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters, Kafka platforms, PostgreSQL databases, NGINX, and other critical infrastructure services in production.

- Build self-service developer platforms, reusable deployment frameworks, and automation that improves reliability and velocity.

Observability & Reliability

- Establish observability, monitoring, logging, and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, and distributed tracing.

- Own Linux administration, Python/Shell automation, and API integrations at scale.

Leadership & Governance (Leading)

- Lead platform modernization initiatives, technology evaluation, and architecture reviews.

- Mentor engineers and enable secure, reliable, and effective software delivery across teams.

Qualifications Education: Computer Science or related degree,



or a combination of education and relevant experience

Experience:

- 12+ years in platform engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure architecture.

- Strong experience architecting AWS cloud infrastructure at enterprise scale.

- Proven experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, CI/CD, and GitOps.

- Strong Linux administration and scripting (Python/Shell) skills.

Technical Skills

- Deep expertise designing and operating enterprise Kubernetes platforms across cloud and on-prem environments.

- Strong AWS architecture skills including multi-account strategy, networking, and security.

- Expertise in Terraform, Docker, CI/CD, GitOps, and infrastructure automation at scale.

- Proficiency with computer applications relevant to the role (MS Office/Google Workspace, ticketing systems, and internal collaboration tools).

- Working proficiency with AI tools, including generative AI, used as a daily work-productivity tool (e.g., research, drafting, coding assistance, summarization, workflow acceleration).

Preferred Qualifications

- Multi-cloud experience (Azure or GCP) in addition to AWS.

- Kubernetes or cloud architecture certifications.

- Experience building self-service internal developer platforms.

Soft Skills

- Professional-level written English sufficient for documentation, reporting, and cross-team communication.
- Professional-level spoken English sufficient for meetings, presentations, and stakeholder collaboration.
- Strong analytical, prioritization, and time management skills
- Comfortable operating in a rapid-paced, high-stakes production environment
