Position : Power Builder Developer

Experience: 9 to 13 Years

Notice period: Immediate to 15 Days (Not more than)

Key Responsibilities

- Perform technical analysis and develop solutions based on functional and technical requirements.
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain applications using PowerBuilder.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents and application issues.
- Perform root-cause analysis and implement appropriate fixes.
- Coordinate with IT Operations for production support and issue resolution.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint activities, and technical discussions.
- Work closely with Functional Analysts to understand requirements and provide technical solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Develop and execute unit test cases to ensure application quality.
- Perform application performance analysis and identify potential bottlenecks.
- Use PBTrace, SQL Trace, and application logs for debugging and troubleshooting.
- Develop, analyze, and optimize complex SQL queries and PL/SQL programs.
- Follow project standards, coding guidelines, and development best practices.




- Contribute to continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and team development.

Mandatory Technical Skills:

- PowerBuilder 12.5 or higher with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience.
- Strong experience with PFC (PowerBuilder Foundation Classes) or proprietary PowerBuilder frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL Oracle 11g or higher.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and database query development.
- Experience with SQL Developer.
- Good understanding of SQL query optimization and performance tuning.
- Experience in unit testing, including writing and executing test cases.
- Robust experience in production support and incident resolution.
- Hands-on experience with debugging and troubleshooting PowerBuilder applications.
- Experience using PBTrace, SQL Trace, and application logs.
- Exposure to Git/version control.

Good-to-Have Skills

- Knowledge of C# and .NET Core.
- Exposure to Visual Studio 2015 or higher.
- Knowledge of APIs / Web APIs.
- Experience with testing tools such as UFT (Unified Functional Testing).
- Knowledge of UML and software modelling.
