Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Pole Factory Unit In-Charge to manage the complete operations of a pole manufacturing facility.

The candidate will be responsible for production planning, manufacturing operations, manpower management, raw material planning, quality control, plant maintenance, safety, productivity, cost control and timely dispatch of poles as per project requirements.

Candidates with experience in RCC/PSC/Precast Concrete Pole manufacturing, electrical utility poles, distribution poles and infrastructure-related manufacturing will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities1. Pole Factory Operations

- Take complete responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the pole manufacturing unit.
- Plan and manage production as per project and customer requirements.
- Ensure timely manufacturing and dispatch of poles.
- Monitor production targets, productivity and plant capacity utilization.
- Ensure efficient utilization of manpower, machinery, raw materials and other resources.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.

1. Pole Manufacturing

- Supervise the complete manufacturing process of RCC/PSC/Precast Concrete Poles.
- Ensure proper preparation of moulds, reinforcement, concreting, vibration, curing, demoulding and finishing.
- Monitor reinforcement cutting, bending and cage preparation.
- Ensure proper concrete mixing, batching and pouring processes.
- Maintain required dimensions, strength, finish and specifications of poles.
- Minimize rejection, wastage and rework.

1. Production Planning & Control

- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production plans.
- Monitor actual production against planned targets.
- Ensure production according to approved specifications and project schedules.
- Coordinate with Project, Procurement, Stores, QA/QC and Logistics teams.
- Plan production according to dispatch requirements.
- Maintain proper production records and MIS.

1. Quality Control

- Ensure manufacturing quality as per approved drawings, specifications and applicable standards.




- Coordinate with the QA/QC team for inspection and testing.
- Monitor concrete quality, mix design, reinforcement, dimensions and curing.
- Ensure required compressive strength and other quality parameters are achieved.
- Coordinate testing of concrete and finished poles.
- Investigate rejection and quality issues and implement corrective measures.

1. Raw Material Management

- Plan and monitor requirements of:
- Cement
- Steel / Reinforcement
- Aggregates
- Sand
- Admixtures
- Prestressing wire, wherever applicable
- Other consumables
- Coordinate with Purchase and Stores for timely availability of materials.
- Monitor material consumption and wastage.
- Maintain proper material reconciliation and inventory control.

1. Manpower Management

- Manage production supervisors, engineers, operators, technicians, workers and helpers.
- Allocate manpower according to production requirements.
- Monitor attendance, productivity and performance.
- Ensure availability of skilled manpower in critical production areas.
- Train workers regarding manufacturing processes, quality and safety practices.

1. Plant & Machinery Management

- Ensure proper operation and utilization of production machinery.
- Monitor the condition of concrete batching/mixing equipment, vibration systems, moulds, cranes, reinforcement machinery and other plant equipment.
- Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Ensure minimum production downtime.
- Maintain equipment records and maintenance schedules.

1. Safety Management

- Ensure strict implementation of plant safety procedures.
- Ensure proper use of PPE by all employees and workers.
- Maintain safety during reinforcement work, lifting operations, concreting, machinery operation and material handling.




- Coordinate with the EHS/Safety team for inspections and corrective actions.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and safe working conditions throughout the factory.

1. Dispatch & Logistics

- Coordinate with the Logistics/Project team for timely dispatch of finished poles.
- Ensure proper loading, handling and transportation arrangements.
- Maintain finished goods inventory.
- Ensure poles are properly identified, counted and documented before dispatch.
- Minimize damage during handling and transportation.

1. Cost & Productivity Control

- Monitor manufacturing cost and resource consumption.
- Control material wastage and unnecessary expenses.
- Improve production efficiency and plant utilization.
- Develop measures for reducing rejection, rework and production losses.
- Track key production KPIs and report performance to management.

1. MIS & Management Reporting

Prepare and submit regular reports covering:
- Daily Production
- Production Target vs. Achievement
- Raw Material Consumption
- Material Wastage
- Rejection & Rework
- Manpower Deployment
- Machine Utilization
- Quality/Test Results
- Finished Stock
- Dispatch Status
- Maintenance & Breakdown
- Safety Performance

Required Qualifications
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil, Mechanical, Production or related Engineering discipline.
- 8–15 years of relevant experience in pole manufacturing, precast manufacturing, RCC/PSC manufacturing or a similar production environment.
- Strong experience in factory/plant operations and production management.
- Knowledge of concrete technology and manufacturing processes.
- Solid manpower and production planning skills.
- Positive understanding of quality control and safety procedures.

Pay: Up to ₹50,000.00 per month
