Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated PLC Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial automation systems that drive our production processes. Duties

- Develop, program, and commission PLC systems using ladder logic (LD) and other engineering programming languages to automate manufacturing processes.
- Configure and troubleshoot human-machine interface (HMI) systems for real-time control and monitoring of industrial equipment.
- Integrate robotics systems, including Fanuc and other industrial robotic platforms, into automated production lines.
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of PLC systems and industrial controls across various machinery and equipment.
- Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting of PLC-related issues to minimize downtime and improve system reliability.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and automation teams to interpret schematics, blueprints, and electrical diagrams for system upgrades or modifications.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles by optimizing automation workflows for efficiency and waste reduction while adhering to CGMP (Current Positive Manufacturing Practice) standards where applicable.
- Utilize AutoCAD or SolidWorks for schematic design or modifications related to control systems; employ vision inspection systems for quality assurance as needed.




- Maintain detailed documentation of programming changes, system configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and compliance records in accordance with industry standards.

Requirements

- Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role with a focus on PLC programming and automation systems.
- Strong proficiency in programming PLCs using ladder logic (LD), function block diagrams (FBD), or structured text (ST).
- Hands-on experience with PLC systems installation, repair, troubleshooting, and commissioning in an industrial environment.
- Knowledge of industrial networks such as Ethernet/IP, Profibus, or Modbus for system communication.
- Familiarity with Fanuc robotics or other industrial robotic systems including robot programming and integration.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings accurately.
- Experience working with HMI configuration tools for human-machine interface development.
- Understanding of industrial electrical systems including sensors, actuators, motor drives, relays, circuit protection devices, and control panels.
- Mechanical knowledge related to tooling, machining processes or mechanical assembly is advantageous.
- Skilled in root cause analysis using diagnostic tools; capable of performing troubleshooting on complex automation equipment.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD or SolidWorks for schematic design; familiarity with vision inspection systems is a plus.
