The Platform & Web Lead owns the technical architecture, development, performance, and optimisation of Valerie’s digital platforms across multiple brands. Shopify is the primary platform, with responsibility for web technologies, CMS, infrastructure, integrations, analytics, and overall digital experience.

The role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership, stakeholder management, and the ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.

Key Accountabilities

- Own architecture and optimisation of ecommerce and web platforms across Valerie brands.
- Lead Shopify development while supporting other CMS and web technologies.
- Manage hosting, domains, CDN, deployments, security, scalability, and documentation.
- Establish development standards and technical governance.
- Lead Shopify builds, customisations, migrations, and ongoing optimisation.
- Build scalable solutions using Shopify, Liquid, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js, HTML, CSS, and APIs.
- Manage third-party integrations, payment gateways, and business systems.
- Ensure clean, secure, scalable, and well-documented code.
- Own technical SEO, Core Web Vitals, accessibility, security, and website performance.
- Lead technical audits, migrations, and performance improvements.
- Own GA4, GTM, ecommerce tracking,



and scalable analytics frameworks.
- Partner with Growth, SEO, and Product teams on CRO and experimentation.
- Build and maintain Shopify, CRM, ERP, payment, and third-party integrations.
- Improve automation and ensure reliable data flows across systems.
- Identify opportunities to improve engineering and operational efficiency.
- Provide technical direction across Platform, Web, and Ecommerce Engineering.
- Translate business requirements into scalable solutions.

Ideal Profile

- 8–10 years of Shopify/ecommerce development experience.
- Strong full-stack expertise across Shopify, Liquid, JavaScript/TypeScript, React/Next.js, HTML, CSS, and APIs.
- Proven experience leading Shopify builds, migrations, and complex integrations.
- Strong knowledge of technical SEO, Core Web Vitals, CRO, GA4, and GTM.
- Experience with hosting, DNS, CDN, Cloudflare, Vercel, Netlify, or similar infrastructure.
- Experience with multiple brands, websites, and CMS platforms such as WordPress or Webflow.
- Solid understanding of web security, accessibility, REST APIs, Git, and up-to-date development workflows.
- Strong ownership, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
