Site In-Charge/Plant Manager – 2X1 Mw Ganganhal Mini Hydro Power Plant

Position: Site In-Charge / O&M; Manager

We are looking for an experienced Site In-Charge to independently manage the Operations & Maintenance of our 2 × 1 MW Small Hydro Power Plant.

The candidate will be responsible for safe and reliable plant operation, preventive and breakdown maintenance, statutory compliance, and coordination with KPTCL, ESCOM, Electrical Inspectorate and other allied government departments.

Key Responsibilities

- Overall responsibility for day-to-day operation of both 1 MW generating units.
- Supervise electrical, mechanical and hydro-mechanical O&M; activities.
- Monitor turbine, generator, transformer, HT/LT panels, transmission line, switchyard and protection systems.
- Plan and supervise preventive, periodic and breakdown maintenance.
- Coordinate with KPTCL/ESCOM for grid-related matters, shutdowns, synchronization and maintenance requirements .
- Maintain generation, equipment, maintenance, breakdown and statutory records.
- Supervise operators, technicians and others
- Ensure electrical and general safety procedures are strictly followed.
- Maintain spare-parts inventory and coordinate procurement when required.
- Prepare daily/monthly generation and O&M; reports for management.




- Attend emergencies and coordinate timely restoration of the plant.
- Liaise with government departments, vendors and external agencies whenever required.

Qualification & Experience
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering preferred.
- 7–12 years of experience in power plant O&M;, preferably in Small Hydro Power Plants.
- Candidates with direct experience in operating and maintaining hydro generating units will be given preference.
- Good knowledge of HT electrical systems, generators, transformers, transmission line, protection systems and switchyard operations.
- Experience in KPTCL/DISCOM coordination and statutory compliance is highly desirable.
- Positive supervisory, documentation and communication skills.
- Candidate should be capable of independently handling the plant site and manpower.

Salary

Rs 30000-50000, depending on qualification, experience and previous hydro-power experience.

Accommodation: Bachelor accommodation can be provided at the plant site.
