Role Description This is a full-time Planning Engineer role based in Mumbai with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing some tasks to be completed from home.

The Planning

Engineer will develop and manage production plans for pre-finished wooden doors and modular furniture, ensuring alignment with project timelines and customer requirements.

Responsibilities include coordinating with production, procurement, and project teams; monitoring workflow and resource allocation; and maintaining accurate planning documentation. The role also involves analyzing project performance, identifying bottlenecks, suggesting process improvements, and supporting project control activities. Effective communication with cross-functional stakeholders will be essential to keep projects on schedule and within quality standards.

Qualifications

- Diploma / BE / BTech in Civil, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline.
- Strong estimation and costing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings.
- Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems (preferred).
- Good communication, coordination, and follow-up skills.





- Strong planning and production planning skills to create realistic schedules and optimize manufacturing activities.
- Analytical skills and project control capabilities to track progress, interpret data, and manage timelines and resources.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with production, procurement, design, and project management teams.
- Experience in furniture manufacturing, building products, or related industries is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (industrial, mechanical, or related field) or an equivalent technical qualification.
- Proficiency with planning and scheduling tools (such as Excel, ERP/MRP systems, or project management software).

Key Responsibilities

- Study architectural drawings and specifications to prepare cost estimations, BOQs, and quantity take-offs.
- Prepare estimation sheets, presentations, and supporting documents for client enquiries and submissions.
- Record and track enquiries received via email, phone, and client portals; ensure timely responses and systematic follow-ups.
- Maintain enquiry and estimation records on SAP or ERP systems and highlight missing data or timelines.
- Manage technical documentation such as ISO certificates, test reports, and compliance records.
- Coordinate with the manufacturing unit to track production status for enquiries and confirmed orders.
- Conduct monthly factory visits to review manufacturing activities and report progress to management.
- Collaborate with project, production, and marketing teams for smooth handover to clients and execution teams.
