Company Description The Association of People with Disability (APD), India is a non-governmental organization that has been transforming the lives of underprivileged people with disabilities since 1959. Headquartered in Bengaluru, Karnataka, APD runs comprehensive programs across rural and urban areas to enable, equip, and empower children and adults with diverse disabilities, including locomotor challenges, spinal cord injuries, speech and hearing impairments, cerebral palsy, and certain mental health conditions. APD follows a lifecycle approach covering early intervention, education, livelihood, rehabilitation, capacity building, and support in accessing entitlements.
The organization builds strategic partnerships with local NGOs, government agencies, corporates, and other institutions to widen the reach and impact of its programs. APD also works closely with government bodies at multiple levels to influence inclusive policies and systems.
Role Description The Account Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru.
The Account
Manager will oversee relationships with donors, partners, and other stakeholders, ensuring timely communication, reporting, and alignment with APD’s program objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing accounts and funding cycles, coordinating with program teams to gather data and impact stories, preparing proposals, budgets, and reports, and tracking key performance indicators for each account. The role involves supporting strategic partnerships,
facilitating review meetings, addressing stakeholder queries, and maintaining accurate documentation and records.
The Account
Manager will collaborate closely with finance, programs, and fundraising teams to ensure compliance, transparency, and effective delivery on commitments.
Qualifications
- Solid account management and relationship-building skills, with experience handling multiple stakeholders such as donors, partners, and institutional supporters.
- Proficiency in proposal writing, report preparation, and documentation, including basic budgeting and financial tracking for projects or programs.
- Solid communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey program impact clearly to diverse audiences in written and verbal formats.
- Organizational and project coordination skills, including planning, monitoring timelines, and managing data and records accurately.
- Experience in the development or social sector, preferably in disability inclusion, education, livelihood, or community-based programs.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in management, social work, development studies, business administration, or a related field.
- Comfort working on-site in Bengaluru and engaging regularly with field teams, partners, and government officials.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse, inclusive environment and a demonstrated commitment to equity and the rights of people with disabilities.
