Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and target-oriented Placement Coordinator for the GEET project in Jharkhand. The role will be responsible for developing employer networks, generating placement opportunities, coordinating recruitment drives, counselling candidates, and ensuring successful joining and 70% retention of certified candidates.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify, map, and onboard employers across relevant sectors and locations, including opportunities outside Jharkhand and Odisha.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with HR teams, recruiters, placement agencies, and industry partners.
- Source and maintain an updated database of relevant job vacancies based on candidate qualifications, skills, location, salary, and career interests.
- Organize and coordinate placement drives, interviews, walk-ins, and virtual recruitment.
- Manage candidate shortlisting, interview scheduling, selection, joining follow-up, and retention tracking.
- Counsel students on career opportunities, job roles, salary expectations, relocation, and industry requirements.
- Conduct placement orientation sessions covering resume building, interview preparation, communication, workplace expectations, and skilled conduct.
- Develop hyper-local placement opportunities within students’ districts/cities and nearby industrial, service, retail, BFSI, IT/ITES, and other sectors.




- Explore outstation employment opportunities and support candidates willing to relocate.
- Coordinate with colleges, placement cells, trainers, counsellors, project teams, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain employer databases, vacancy trackers, placement records, offer/joining proofs, retention records, and regular MIS reports.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance related to placement and retention.

Preferred Candidate Profile
- Graduate/Postgraduate in any relevant discipline.
- Experience in placement, recruitment, skill development, employability, or career counselling will be preferred.
- Strong local employer network and knowledge of the Jharkhand job market will be an advantage.
- Good communication, negotiation, coordination, and relationship-management skills.
- Willingness to travel for employer visits and placement activities.
- Ability to work with targets and manage multiple stakeholders.

Performance Target

Target: Minimum 70% retention of certified candidates through effective placement, joining follow-up, and post-placement engagement.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
