- Draw blood from patients
- Correctly identify patients and label blood samples
- Explain procedures to patients and help reduce anxiety
- Follow strict hygiene, safety, and infection-control protocols
- Handle, store, and transport blood samples properly
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Dispose of needles and biohazard waste safely
- Report any adverse reactions during or after blood collection
