About the Role

Amity International School, Pushp Vihar, New Delhi, is looking for a passionate, experienced, and dedicated PGT English Teacher to join its academic team. The ideal candidate should have strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create engaging, student-centric learning experiences.

The candidate will be responsible for teaching English at the senior secondary level, developing students' language and literary skills, and preparing them effectively for board examinations.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging and effective English lessons for senior secondary students.
- Develop comprehensive lesson plans aligned with the prescribed curriculum and learning objectives.
- Teach English language, literature, grammar, writing, reading comprehension, and related skills.
- Prepare students for CBSE Board Examinations through structured instruction, assessments, and regular feedback.
- Use innovative, activity-based, and student-centric teaching methodologies.
- Encourage critical thinking, creativity, effective communication, and analytical skills among students.
- Design and evaluate assignments, assessments, projects, and examinations.
- Monitor students' academic progress and provide timely feedback and additional support where required.
- Maintain effective classroom management and create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Integrate technology and digital teaching tools into classroom instruction wherever appropriate.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, academic planning, school events,



and co-curricular activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to departmental planning and academic initiatives.
- Maintain appropriate academic records and documentation.
- Stay updated with developments in English language teaching, literature, pedagogy, and assessment practices.

Qualifications
- Master's degree in English or a related discipline from a recognized university.
- B.Ed. from a recognized institution is mandatory.
- Strong command of spoken and written English.
- Good knowledge of English language and literature.
- Proficiency in using classroom technology and digital learning tools.

Experience
- Prior teaching experience as a PGT English Teacher in a reputed CBSE/ICSE school will be preferred.
- Experience teaching Classes XI and XII and preparing students for board examinations will be an advantage.
