Excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to assume the Payroll Specialist (Individual Contributor) role within the Carrier Business Services organization. The organization offers the opportunity to be part of a growing shared services organization and develop global processes to sustain flexibility as business needs change. Job responsibilities are subject to change based on process alignment within the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities The Payroll Specialist is responsible for executing end-to-end payroll operations for assigned APAC countries, ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance, and timeliness. This role works closely with internal stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional global teams to support efficient payroll delivery, Time & attendance processes across APAC .
Execute end-to-end payroll processing for APAC countries (e.g., Australia, India, Singapore, etc.)
Ensure payroll is processed accurately and timely, adhering to local statutory and compliance requirements
Manage and validate time & attendance (T&A;) data and ensure proper integration with payroll systems
Collaborating with cross-functional global teams including HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors
Support payroll audits, statutory filings, and compliance requirements across APAC
Maintain payroll data integrity and ensure compliance with data privacy and retention standards
Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for payroll processes and systems (e.g., SAP/GlobalView, ADP)
Support issue resolution, investigation, and root cause analysis for payroll discrepancies
Monitor and support KPIs/metrics related to payroll service delivery
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and process standardization
Stay current with APAC payroll legislation and regulatory requirements
Support vendor coordination to ensure service delivery alignment
Education
Bachelor’s degree required
Payroll certification (India payroll certification preferred/required)
5–8 years of payroll experience in a multinational or shared services environment
Experience with SAP/GlobalView or similar payroll platforms preferred
Strong knowledge of APAC payroll (Australia, India, Singapore, etc.)
Language standard: Advanced English (spoken and written)
Experience
Hands-on experience in end-to-end payroll processing
Strong knowledge of time & attendance systems and payroll integration
Experience working in a global, cross-functional environment
Familiarity with third-party payroll vendors (e.g., ADP)
Strong understanding of statutory compliance and payroll regulations
Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure during payroll cycles
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
