Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate, energetic, and qualified Physical Education Teacher to promote physical fitness, sports participation, teamwork, discipline, and healthy lifestyle habits among students.

The candidate will be responsible for planning and conducting age-appropriate physical education classes, coaching students in various sports, organising sports events, identifying student talent, and contributing to the overall physical and social development of students in accordance with the school's academic and sports programme.

Key Responsibilities

1. Physical Education & Sports Instruction

- Plan and conduct structured Physical Education classes for students across assigned grades.
- Develop age-appropriate lesson plans focusing on fitness, coordination, strength, flexibility, endurance, and motor skills.
- Teach fundamental rules, techniques, and skills of various indoor and outdoor sports.
- Encourage students to participate actively in physical activities and sports.
- Introduce students to different sports based on their age, ability, and interest.
- Promote healthy lifestyle habits, fitness awareness, and sportsmanship.

1. Sports Coaching & Talent Development

- Identify students with potential in different sports and provide appropriate coaching.
- Train and prepare students for inter-school, district, state, and national-level competitions, wherever applicable.
- Conduct regular practice sessions and maintain training schedules.
- Monitor students' performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain records of student participation and sports achievements.
- Encourage students to participate in individual and team sports.

1. Sports Events & Competitions

- Plan and coordinate Annual Sports Day, athletic meets, tournaments, inter-house competitions, and sports events.




- Organise house-wise sports activities and competitions.
- Coordinate with other schools and sports bodies for inter-school competitions.
- Manage fixtures, team selection, scoring, equipment, venues, and event schedules.
- Accompany students to authorised competitions and events when assigned.
- Ensure fair play, discipline, and sportsmanship during competitions.

1. Fitness & Student Development

- Conduct regular fitness activities and basic fitness assessments.
- Develop students' physical strength, stamina, agility, balance, coordination, and flexibility.
- Encourage teamwork, leadership, discipline, perseverance, and respect for others.
- Motivate students who are less active or hesitant to participate in sports.
- Provide appropriate support based on students' physical abilities and developmental needs.

1. Safety & Risk Management

- Ensure students follow appropriate safety procedures during physical activities.
- Inspect sports grounds, equipment, and facilities before use.
- Ensure proper warm-up and cool-down routines.
- Maintain appropriate supervision during sports and physical activities.
- Report injuries, hazards, or unsafe conditions to the concerned authority immediately.
- Follow the school's student safeguarding, emergency response, and safety procedures.

1. Sports Equipment & Facilities

- Maintain an updated inventory of sports equipment and materials.
- Ensure sports equipment is properly stored, maintained,



and used safely.
- Recommend new equipment and resources based on student requirements.
- Monitor the condition of sports facilities, playgrounds, courts, and other activity areas.
- Maintain records of equipment issued and used.

1. School Activities & Collaboration

- Participate in assemblies, school celebrations, camps, field trips, and other school programmes.
- Support co-curricular and extracurricular activities as assigned.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, coordinators, and school leadership.
- Participate in staff meetings, training programmes, workshops, and professional development activities.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the school's annual sports calendar.

Educational Qualification

Essential:

- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) or equivalent recognised qualification.
- Candidates must meet the applicable qualification requirements prescribed for the relevant teaching level.

Preferred:

- Master's Degree in Physical Education (M.P.Ed.).
- Relevant sports coaching certifications.
- Knowledge of CBSE Physical Education curriculum and sports programmes.
- Certification in first aid/CPR is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in multiple sports such as Athletics, Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Cricket, Badminton, Table Tennis, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, etc.

Experience
- 2–5 years of experience as a Physical Education Teacher/PET in a reputed CBSE, ICSE, or international school is preferred.
- Experience in coaching students for inter-school or higher-level competitions will be an added advantage.
- Freshers with excellent sports credentials and robust coaching aptitude may also be considered.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹32,000.00 per month
