– Paint Shop Production

Position: Paint Shop Production Engineer / Executive

Department: Production – Paint Shop

Industry: Agriculture Implements / Farm Equipment Manufacturing

Location: Kohara-Raian village

Experience: 2–6 Years

Qualification: Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. – Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering

Reporting To: Production Manager / Plant Head

Job Purpose To manage and control day-to-day paint shop production activities, ensuring smooth production flow, quality standards, optimum manpower utilization, minimum rejection/rework, and timely completion of production targets.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, monitor, and execute daily paint shop production as per production targets.
- Manage manpower, machines, materials, and production resources effectively.
- Handle complete paint shop processes such as pre-treatment, shot blasting, powder coating / wet painting, drying/curing and final inspection.
- Ensure proper surface preparation before painting/coating.
- Monitor PT Line parameters, chemical concentration, pH, temperature, TDS and titration as applicable.
- Monitor powder coating / paint parameters including coating thickness, curing temperature and curing time.
- Ensure proper loading, unloading, masking, hanging and material movement.
- Maintain optimum paint/powder consumption and reduce material wastage.
- Control rejection, rework, peeling, shade variation, poor adhesion, pinholes, runs, orange peel and other paint defects.
- Coordinate with Quality, PPC, Maintenance, Stores and Assembly/Production departments.
- Ensure production as per customer and internal quality standards.
- Conduct root-cause analysis for paint shop quality and production issues.
- Implement 5S, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, TPM and continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain production records,



rejection/rework reports, paint/powder consumption and daily production reports.
- Ensure preventive maintenance and proper functioning of paint shop equipment in coordination with the Maintenance team.
- Ensure compliance with safety requirements, PPE usage and shop-floor discipline.
- Monitor productivity and identify opportunities for reducing cycle time and production costs.
- Train and guide operators regarding process parameters, quality requirements and safe working practices.

Required Technical Skills
- Good knowledge of Paint Shop / Powder Coating processes.
- Knowledge of Pre-Treatment / PT Line.
- Knowledge of Shot Blasting and Surface Preparation.
- Understanding of Powder Coating / Wet Painting.
- Knowledge of Paint Booth, Oven, Conveyor and curing systems.
- Knowledge of paint defects and troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge of 7 QC Tools, 5 Why, Kaizen, 5S and Poka-Yoke.
- Good understanding of production planning and manpower management.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel / ERP / SAP.

Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in automotive, agriculture machinery, tractor implements, engineering or sheet-metal manufacturing will be preferred.
- Hands-on experience in managing a paint shop production team.
- Solid problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work in a target-oriented manufacturing environment.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
