We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to take complete ownership of solar installation operations, project execution, maintenance and installation-vendor management.

The person will be responsible for ensuring that all confirmed solar projects are installed on time, executed as per quality standards, commissioned successfully and maintained effectively. The role will also involve identifying, evaluating and onboarding installation vendors across different locations and managing their performance.

Key Responsibilities1.

Solar Installation

Operations

- Manage end-to-end installation operations for rooftop solar projects.
- Plan and allocate installation projects to internal teams and empanelled vendors.
- Ensure installations are completed within the committed TAT.
- Coordinate with Sales, Project, Procurement, Logistics and Finance teams for smooth execution.
- Track every project from installation allocation → site readiness → installation → inspection → commissioning → handover.
- Ensure all required material, manpower and equipment are available before installation.
- Monitor daily installation progress and resolve operational bottlenecks.
- Conduct regular site visits and audits where required.

2.

Installation Vendor

Management
- Identify and source qualified solar installation vendors in different locations.
- Evaluate vendors based on technical capability, manpower, experience, capacity, service area and past performance.
- Complete vendor verification, documentation and commercial negotiations.
- Onboard and empanel suitable installation partners.
- Define vendor SLAs, installation standards and TAT requirements.
- Allocate projects to vendors based on location, capacity and performance.
- Monitor vendor productivity, quality and turnaround time.
- Maintain a vendor performance scorecard.
- Take corrective action or replace vendors who consistently fail to meet quality or TAT requirements.
- Develop a strong network of reliable installation partners across operating regions.

Installation

Quality &





• Compliance
- Ensure installations follow company-approved technical and safety standards.
- Conduct quality checks and installation audits.
- Ensure proper earthing, mounting structures, wiring, inverter installation and other technical requirements are completed correctly.
- Ensure installation photographs, checklists and required documents are submitted properly.
- Identify recurring quality issues and implement corrective measures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable electrical and safety requirements.

4. Operations & • TAT Management
- Define and monitor installation TAT for different project stages.
- Track pending and delayed installations on a daily basis.
- Identify the reason for delays and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain an installation dashboard covering:
- Projects received
- Site-ready projects
- Projects allocated
- Installation completed
- Pending installations
- Commissioned projects
- Delayed projects
- Escalate critical operational issues to management with recommended solutions.

5. Operations & • Maintenance (O&M;)
- Manage post-installation maintenance and service operations.
- Establish a structured process for receiving and assigning service complaints.
- Ensure service requests are assigned to the appropriate technician/vendor within defined TAT.
- Monitor complaint resolution and closure.
- Track recurring technical issues and identify root causes.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance activities wherever applicable.
- Maintain service and maintenance records for installed systems.
- Monitor AMC/service contracts if applicable.

• Escalation Management




- Take ownership of installation-related customer escalations.
- Ensure complaints are assigned and resolved within defined timelines.
- Coordinate with installation vendors and service teams for resolution.
- Monitor customer satisfaction after installation.
- Identify recurring complaints and implement preventive measures.
- Ensure proper communication with customers during delays or service issues.

7. Team Management
- Manage installation coordinators, field engineers, technicians and operations executives.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor daily productivity.
- Conduct regular operational reviews.
- Train the team on processes, documentation, quality and customer handling.
- Set individual and team-level operational targets.
- Build a solid and accountable field operations team.

8. MIS & • ReportingPrepare and review daily/weekly/monthly reports covering:

- Project-wise TAT
- Pending installations
- Vendor performance
- Installation quality
- Service complaints
