Finance Transformation

Join our Finance Transformation practice to help Deloitte client service teams define and execute Finance and Global Business Services agendas and strategies. You will work with world-class teams and insights, helping support delivery in challenging environments, market uncertainty, technology development, and regulatory considerations to help unlock value. Your work may span strategy, operations, process design, and technology as we collaborate with teams to enable transforming finance.

Position Summary

Operations Associate Vice President

Work you will do

- As an AVP you are responsible for leading Record to Report function, responsible for the timely and accurate performance of the General Ledger process, maintaining internal and client relations. You will focus on the following areas.
- Review the financial close process, including the evaluation and interpretation of financial statements and reports required for monthly, quarterly, annual and other regulatory reporting
- Monitor revenue recognition for milestone-based projects through Percentage of Completion accounting (PoC) - Revenue recognition for fixed price contract / milestone-based contracts.
- Close Management: Coordinate the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely completion of financial close activities
- Driving operational efficiencies through providing efficient, sustainable, and technology-enabled solutions aligned with accounting and financial reporting requirements
- Monitor SOX compliance and management reporting related to testing and efficiency of controls in place. Perform periodic reviews and assessments to identify control gaps and implement remediation plans.
- Monitoring the performance and quality of the activities performed based on agreed measurable(KPI´s) ensuring a timely reaction to any missed KPI targets
- Lead engagement planning; managing engagement economics, engagement risk, and engagement timeline
- Collaborating with team to understand their challenges and identifying solutions to drive desired outcomes




- Leading initiatives to achieve targeted efficiencies through continuous improvement and or custom optimization
- Establishing a high level of credibility and manage strong working relationships with external and internal parties, including customers and advisors.
- Ensuring that external partners receive accurate and timely information

Qualifications

- 15+ years of work experience in RTR
- Experience in leading teams of 100+ colleagues and collaborating with teams across multiple geographies
- In-depth hands-on experience of end-to-end RTR process
- Strong analytical and data management skills
- Ability to handle complex situations and resolve difficult or non-routine issues/escalations
- Strong business process documentation skills
- Proficiency in MS office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Desired work experience in various packages and tools such as Oracle, SAP, JDE, Power BI, HFM and One Stream reporting tool etc.
- English proficiency required: written and verbal communication
- Independent thinker and resourceful problem solver with an ability to exercise mature judgment
- Takes ownership and drives the team towards a successful outcome
- Can see the big picture and naturally look for what other client problems the team can solve
- Strong oral and written communication skills; including presentation, interpersonal communication andfacilitation skills
- Brings a genuine approach to day-to-day dealings with highest ethical standard
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders both internal and external
- Mentor, support and train team members

- The role requires flexibility to work in various shift timings, including night shifts, as per business needs.
- You will be expected to work from the office five days a week.
