Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Odoo Functional Consultant to manage and deliver Odoo implementation projects across multiple business domains. The candidate should have strong functional knowledge of Odoo, excellent business analysis skills, and hands-on experience in requirement gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, training, and implementation.

The ideal candidate should be able to independently handle functional activities, work closely with customers and technical teams, and provide practical Odoo solutions with minimum unnecessary customization.

Key Responsibilities1. Requirement Gathering & Business Analysis

- Conduct requirement-gathering sessions and business process workshops with customers.
- Understand existing business processes and identify business requirements.
- Document AS-IS and TO-BE processes.
- Perform detailed fit-gap analysis between standard Odoo functionality and customer requirements.
- Identify opportunities to achieve requirements through standard Odoo configuration.
- Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), and functional specifications where required.

1. Odoo Functional Consulting

Strong functional knowledge of multiple Odoo modules, including:
- CRM
- Sales
- Purchase
- Inventory
- Manufacturing / MRP
- Accounting
- Project
- HR / HRMS
- Point of Sale
- Quality
- Maintenance
- Website / eCommerce

The consultant should understand end-to-end business flows and integration between modules, rather than working on modules in isolation.

1. Odoo Configuration

- Configure Odoo based on approved business requirements.
- Set up products, customers, vendors, warehouses, routes, procurement rules, workflows, taxes, users, access rights, and other functional settings.
- Configure multi-company, multi-warehouse, and other relevant business scenarios.
- Validate configurations through functional testing.

1. Solution Design & Customization





- Translate business requirements into practical Odoo solutions.
- Determine whether a requirement can be handled through:
- Standard Odoo functionality
- Configuration
- Studio/customization
- Custom development
- Third-party integration
- Prepare clear functional specifications for developers.
- Work closely with technical teams to ensure the developed solution meets business requirements.
- Review customizations from a functional perspective.

1. Testing & UAT

- Prepare functional test scenarios and test cases.
- Perform SIT and functional testing.
- Coordinate with customers during UAT.
- Track, analyze, and resolve functional issues.
- Validate bug fixes and enhancements.
- Ensure business requirements are fully covered before go-live.

1. Data Migration

- Understand customer master and transactional data requirements.
- Prepare data templates and mapping documents.
- Validate migrated data.
- Coordinate with technical teams during migration activities.
- Perform reconciliation and data validation after migration.

1. Training & Documentation

- Conduct Odoo training sessions for end users and key users.
- Prepare user manuals, process documents, and training materials.
- Conduct demonstrations of Odoo functionality.
- Support users during UAT and post-go-live activities.

1. Go-Live & Support

- Support implementation teams during go-live.
- Assist with cutover and deployment activities.
- Provide functional support during the stabilization period.
- Analyze production issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Handle change requests and enhancement requirements.

Client Management
- Act as a functional point of contact for assigned customers.
- Conduct requirement workshops, demos, and review meetings.
- Clearly explain standard Odoo functionality and limitations.




- Manage customer expectations regarding customization and timelines.
- Communicate functional issues and proposed solutions effectively.
- Handle multiple stakeholders and business users professionally.

Required Skills
- 4–8+ years of experience in Odoo/ERP functional consulting.
- Strong experience in end-to-end Odoo implementations.
- Strong knowledge of multiple Odoo modules.
- Excellent understanding of ERP business processes.
- Strong requirement-gathering and business-analysis skills.
- Experience with fit-gap analysis and solution design.
- Experience preparing functional specifications for developers.
- Strong knowledge of Odoo configuration.
- Experience with UAT, testing, training, data migration, and go-live.
- Ability to work independently and manage functional deliverables.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
