Network Engineer / Network Specialist

Location - India - Remote

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer/Network Specialist to support and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across campus and data center environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in routing, switching, network security, wireless technologies, load balancing, and network automation. This role requires excellent troubleshooting skills, operational support experience, and the ability to work effectively in a multi-vendor environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise routing and switching infrastructure across data center and campus environments.
- Manage firewall policies, security rule bases, and access control lists across multiple security platforms.




- Administer and support VPN and SD-WAN solutions to ensure secure and reliable connectivity for remote locations and users.
- Maintain and optimize wireless network infrastructure, including access point management and RF troubleshooting.
- Configure, manage, and optimize Web Application Firewall (WAF) solutions to protect internet-facing applications.
- Administer DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (IPAM) services, including zone management and record maintenance.
- Configure, optimize, and troubleshoot load balancers, virtual servers, traffic management policies, and proxy solutions.
- Manage network access control and authentication services, including policy administration, troubleshooting, and audit support.
- Participate in on-call support rotations and respond to network incidents within established service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Create and maintain network documentation, operational procedures, runbooks, and change records.
- Collaborate with security, cloud, infrastructure, and application teams to support business and technical initiatives.
- Execute approved changes following established ITIL-based change management processes.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and orchestration workflows to streamline network operations, reduce manual effort, and improve service delivery using Python, Ansible, and similar technologies.

Required Qualifications

- 16 years of progressive hands-on experience in enterprise network operations, support, or engineering.
- Strong expertise in routing and switching technologies, including OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, VLANs,



STP, and Layer 2/Layer 3 networking.
- Experience managing firewall policies across multiple security platforms.
- Working knowledge of SSL/TLS inspection, URL filtering, and application-layer security controls.
- Experience using ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow for incident, problem, and change management.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in complex enterprise network environments.
- Ability to work during off-hours maintenance windows and respond to critical network incidents.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create clear technical documentation.
- Proficiency in Python or another scripting language for network automation, data processing, and API integration.
- Hands-on experience with Ansible or equivalent automation/configuration management tools.
- Familiarity with Git-based version control and CI/CD practices for infrastructure and network automation.
- Experience using REST APIs, NETCONF, and YANG for network programmability and automation.
