Role Description This is a part-time, remote role for a Music Mixing Engineer.

The Music Mixing

Engineer will handle day-to-day mixing of songs, instrumentals, and other audio content, ensuring clarity, balance, and consistent sonic quality across projects.

Responsibilities include organizing and preparing sessions, applying EQ, compression, effects, and automation, and collaborating with artists and producers to refine the artistic vision of each mix. The role involves revising mixes based on feedback, maintaining file organization and version control, and delivering mixes in required formats and specifications.

The Music Mixing

Engineer may also contribute to basic mastering, building mix templates,



and supporting internal audio standards for MnA Studios’ label and client projects.

Qualifications

- Audio engineering and mixing skills (e.g., gain staging, EQ, compression, FX processing) with a strong ear for balance, tone, and dynamics.
- Proficiency with major DAWs and plugins (such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Ableton, Cubase, or similar) and familiarity with modern mixing workflows.
- Understanding of music genres and production styles, with the ability to adapt mixes to different artistic directions and brand requirements.
- Experience with file management, session organization, and exporting stems and masters in various formats and sample rates.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with remote artists, producers, and project managers.
- Ability to work independently, manage part-time remote schedules, and meet deadlines across multiple concurrent projects.
- Knowledge of basic mastering concepts, loudness standards, and delivery specs for streaming platforms is beneficial.
- Prior experience in music production, studio work, or a related field and a portfolio or reel of mixed tracks is highly preferred.
- Formal training, certification, or a degree in audio engineering, music production, or a related discipline is a plus but not required.
