Role Description The Multibrand Car Mechanic (Gurudev Motors Škoda Cars) role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. The mechanic will perform routine and scheduled vehicle maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and carry out repairs on Škoda and other supported brands in line with manufacturer guidelines. Daily responsibilities include inspecting vehicles, identifying faults, replacing or repairing components, conducting test drives, and ensuring all work is documented accurately in service records.

The role also involves collaborating with service advisors,



maintaining workshop safety and cleanliness, and using diagnostic tools and equipment effectively. A strong focus on delivering reliable work and clear communication with colleagues contributes to high customer satisfaction and repeat business.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Vehicle Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair to perform routine servicing and preventive care.
- Candidates should possess solid Automotive Repair and general Automotive knowledge to diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults.
- Candidates should possess a commitment to Customer Satisfaction, ensuring quality workmanship and timely service delivery.
- Formal technical qualification such as ITI/Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent trade certification.
- Hands-on experience working as a car mechanic, preferably in dealer workshops or multi-brand service centers.
- Ability to read and follow service manuals, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer repair procedures.
- Familiarity with modern diagnostic tools, scanning equipment, and basic computer usage for job card updates.
- Solid attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and capacity to work in a fast-paced workshop environment.
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with service advisors, parts personnel, and other technicians.
